I'm not sure exactly why, but this whole Skins and Stones key thing bothers me. I had planned to purchase from Pennyroyal, because I liked the fact that a portion of the purchase price would have gone to one of Adam's charities. But Skins and Stones is doing this purely for profit ... which they certainly have a right to do because Hans owns the design, but it just feels icky to me that they are capitalizing on Adam's name for profit, without giving anything back. We know they wouldn't sell hardly any of these if Adam didn't have the tattoo. >:( I don't know, it really doesn't bother me. Obviously, Adam gave them his blessing (or may have even handpicked Skins and Stones) and Hans is a friend of his and from what I can tell, they've gone to great lengths to create a quality product that is more involved then the Pennyroyal stuff. (I'm not an expert, but seems like creating a variety of custom molds would be more difficult than stamping into a pendant.) It's tough enough for struggling artists to make a living, and having a piece of work get licensed in a way that they can make a decent amount of money doesn't happen often. He chose to use Hans' artwork, so by inking himself with it, it pretty much gave it his endorsement. People aren't under any obligation to buy and in this case, it's like any other type of jewelry – we buy because we like, it resonates with us and we want to wear it. We don't expect it to have a charity connotation.

I definitely have "Bert-initis". Today, I asked my DH to drive me to the two Atlanta station locations so that when I win, I already know where to park.. . . .hah, ha....how about that for positive thinking! My DH is such an enabler! The 94.1Star station is advertising his visit on a regular basis and they talk about Adam's mad vocals! The commercial though plays WWFM and IIHY. I hope after this visit they will start playing BTIKM. I have been requesting it since January and they have yet to play it. The promo is going to be at the Buckhead Theatre so I hope they are giving away more tickets as this would be bigger than a studio setting. Coke, the theatre is just around the corner from a huge Whole Foods. Isn't that where you go shopping when you are in Atlanta? Oh to breathe the same air as Adam! Yes! That's the Whole Foods where I shop with my daughter. It's not too far from her house. It's on West Paces Ferry right at the intersection of Peachtree and Roswell Road (right behind that WF is where we get the pastries at Henri's to bring to your house ;D). The Buckhead Theater is on Roswell Road a few doors down from that intersection. You can't park on the street there so I guess you would park in the lot behind there in the shopping center where Whole Foods is. mayumi, which station is this, Q100 or Star 94? I've been clicking my life away to get points to vote on the Q100 site. I've gotten quite a few entires to try and win 2 tickets.

This, and also Hans already had a pre-existing arrangement to make jewelry with Skins and Stones and had done it with other designs not associated with Adam. The Adam association is no doubt a bonus from their POV, but it's not like they suddenly decided to branch into jewelry to capitalize on it. It was already part of their business and art.

Of course we are. Are they just playing with the Adam fans now? I'm getting closer with the radio contest in Portland...#6 caller out of 9. Only get one shot with my rotary phone. You are cracking me up with your vintage phones. LOL. Not quite as bad but almost as useless. My main phone is a Mickey Mouse rotary phone. I thought it was cute at the time.

Bama, yes that's the place on Roswell Road. It is for 94.1STAR and you can win three ways - by texting, registering to be a member of their A-list and following their facebook. I think it will be hard to win unless you are listening the whole day as they will tell you when to call. And then you have to be caller #something. Go to their website for details.
I have also been clicking away at Q100 to get as many points as possible. Ah, what we do for love!
