I think the second line of Chokehold is "sheets are in a knot" That makes sense - I also thought "sheets." What does splendour on the clothes mean do you think? fanfic anybody?

I'm not sure it would mean much to most radio listeners to have a Bruno Mars-written song. Would they even know he had anything to do with it if his vocals aren't on there? Having not heard the song, of course, it's impossible to say whether it's a potential radio hit, but I'd rather that RCA go with sound rather than credentials when picking the next single.

Is anyone else surpised by the sound of Cuckcoo? Guess I thought it would be faster, and I think I will love it, but it just is so different than what I imagined it would be? Should I run and hide now? I was surprised too but I think it's because that how it goes when you get teased and teased about a song -- I think I started inventing how it would sound in my head and it's not that sound in my head at all. I really, really, really appreciate all the time and effort that goes into grabbing these videos and uploading them for all to see BUT I'm sure the songs are not getting an inth of the justice they deserve. So, I'm turning my ears off and just watching Adam MOVE and holding all judgements until I either hear the songs off the actual album OR see Adam LIVE.

I agree that they work within a margin of error.
In addition to just "market-reading," though, they also work with and know the people in radio ("relationships," I remember Adam telling those kids he mentored how important that was). Fans don't know the market research as well as pros nor do they know/work with radio people. Those sort of "ins" that fans just aren't privvy to are, I think, part of the decision-making process, too.

I don't think "Splendor on my clothes" is exactly the lyric there either, but I can't hear Adam clearly enough to come up with an alternative . . . I wish he'd tweet a few lyrics of that one!
