OT Lmao, and this is probably soo off topic. But was watching Family Guy, and the episode is about the banning that the FCC sometimes does on TV networking. They were doing a song, and one line said, "And they'll make you call fellatio a trouser friendly kiss." I was wondering if this was done, partially due to the AMA debacle. For some reason I just found this hilarious...alright..nvm...carry on Oh, it has to be in reference to the AMAs!  |

I love Kevin and he is a brilliant musician, but keys is his major instrument and I think his guitar playing is painfull to listen to. Adam and TJR do need to work out a few timing issues, but overall the sound is cleaner and richer. ETA_ just saw theosgma's post. and LOL!! Shows how subjective music is. Yup, agree with your post aloha...Kevin's guitar sounds tinny or not a pleasant tone to my ears, in many videos (maybe just the way the sound comes across) With this vid the sound... sounds like what I expect from a guitar. I really like Kevin; I think he watches Adam more and there is a connection, I just like the sound of TJ's guitar better. edit: The phasing is also a bit different , which is nice...having a bit of a change up keeps it fresh. And just maybe... TJ get some bonus money for the gig (which is always great) and Kevin gets to sleep in for once!! |

I typed my reply before reading Aloha's and then it was obvious that you had typed yours before reading mine! I love Kevin a lot! But I haven't been able to figure out why the guitar sounds like that in some of the songs. His playing is phenomenal. But when I just heard Tommy's it sounded richer. Perhaps it is just the difference in the instrument they use? I know nothing about instruments. Maybe a virtuoso can exxplain it to us?! Any guitar players here?  |
