He sang at Brooke's but since we know he is in DC now, moot point. I didn't realize he did sing at Brooke's wedding. Hmm... to me that seems weird (having your friends perform at wedding), but that's just me. Anyway - you are right - moot point. It does seem odd that he didn't go. Sort of makes me sad. He's been working so hard and away from family, friends, Sauli, that it would have been really nice for him to have been able to spend that special time with them. I hope he has something fun planned for the w/e in DC. Cultural curiosity: Is this unusual in US, to have friend to perform? I had 3 of my friend to performing in my wedding, both in church and at the party?

As a matter of fact, both my son and daughter had friends perform songs at their weddding. It was quite nice.

Delurking to share my story from Friday. I live in Ottawa and had to phone a company in Toronto for my husband’s business. I’ve phoned there before and they pipe in a Toronto radio station when you are on hold. After dialling the extension I wanted I was put on hold for like 5 seconds and there was Adam singing Better Than I know Myself. First time I’ve ever wanted to stay on hold, lol. Yay for the Toronto radio station that’s playing BTIKM. ILHSVM YAY!!!

I am still of the opinion, and it keeps getting reinforced, that BTIKM, was a song to just get out there and divert the attention away from the bastard album. I was hoping for a Katy Perry rollout, since he is now with her mgmt company(which did not happen). I think the big push for the album, is going to be with the second single.
As you all know, I was not enamored with BTIKM, and felt RCA was putting Adam under the bus. Loved the vid though. But as time has gone by, I am giving more credence to my theory.

THe only reason I thought it might be weird in this case is because singing is his job, and for a wedding I would think his friends would want him to just come and enjoy the event without being put up on stage. That's all. I didn't mean to say that it was weird to have a friend sing at your wedding - that is a wonderful thing.

I don't expect Adam to be #1. I am hoping for sustained sales! And he needs the singles for that to happen. I would be happy with 20 weeks in the Top 10 on Pop radio!! ETA: Artists often preview new album tracks live to generate buzz for upcoming albums. Here is one example: www.nme.com/news/the-killers/38526Recently Daughtry did it. Lady Gaga has done it multiple times. Springsteen did it. The odd thing to me was Adam was at a radio promo and did not perform BTIKM -- the song being promoted. I cannot recall a radio showcase like this that did not include a performance of the single. but Jezebel wasn't particularly meant to be a station promo, was it? It was a private party for a magazine, although there was a radio DJ involved as a host and a few tickets given away by that station. I feel like I've seen a fair number of songs leaked first in youtube live versions, but they rarely get covered above the low level gossip/pop blogs unless it's a really big name star. If you look at the hit counts on the Jezebel videos, they have probably been noticed by the hardcore fandom, but not outside it.
