I just went to a mattress store and just purchased 2 mattresses for bunk beds, which my son will sleep on while we have guests for the listening party. I got to talking with the saleslady and I told her, I was prepping for a cohosted party. Question...friends or family. Friends....met thru a forum. Who: Adam Lambert. She exclaimed - Oh I just love him and she knew about the album and him singing with Queen. I told her I was going to Sonisphere. Her husband is a bass player and has a local band and one of their songs is WWFM. I was polite and said wonderful !!!!!! She carried on and on, how great Adam was. i just smiled and took it all in.

myspenser - I've not reached the end of the thread yet but I'm getting a sore throat & starting to feel lousey so I don't know if I'll make it. Better post now. THIS is what I was trying to say when I said I didn't like the production. I love BTIKM, love Adam's vocals on it but do not like the drum beat at all. The overall production is what is holding the song down IMO. The Brad Walsh remix is so much better! I like your term "light". Also energetic is what I get from it. Dr. Luke was a mistake. Loved your post Hoopla1 recapping your conversation with the radio station. I wish more radio stations would talk (ON AIR) about the great response they are getting for him. And then play his music, whether it's the best single choice or not. Another one is coming guys! And it's gonna be GOOD! On the "down" side - am I the only one that doesn't really like those Starfish photos? Not that it matters as there are so many gorgeous photos of this gorgeous man out there! And rihannsu - I always find your posts interesting & informative! I think your years following U2 have given you insights into the music & radio business that many of us (certainly me) don't have. So many thanks & please keep posting.

I think the greatest gift Adam could bring to her wedding would be to perform, but given that he cannot make it, it is a mute point. I got married in US and had friends who were so nice as to perform. One is a professional too. I don't think it is unusual at all (on either side of the pond), but it is still very nice when it happens (assuming the friend is any good....of course)

You find out that even the artists and their management can't even figure out what worked and what didn't most of the time. One interesting one was Bob Geldof's description of the dog and pony show that radio was putting artists through to get airplay. He wouldn't play along so pretty much killed him in the US.

Last Call! Anyone want to add a letter to Adam in the book I am putting together for him. I'll be delivering it personally on Tuesday in Hartford CT at the Acoustic Cafe. I would love a couple letters from or about husbands/significant others. I can accept letters until first Sunday morning EST. Then it's off to get it bound and finished. adamquotedaily@hotmail.com
