Just a reminder, please request BTIKM -- focus on your HAC station. It only needs about 12 more spins a day to get into the Top 20. With 55 monitored HAC stations in the US playing it, that should be a piece-of-cake for us to do. And it will really help Single #2 if BTIKM is a top 20 song. Q3 Count on us ... voting and requesting is like a tedious yet joyous tithe for Atops because we can SEE it makes a difference. Wish I knew what to do to light a fire under the South Florida stations other than the reg. contacts. Do they really have no interest in GNAFL? Wish he would make a promo visit here and blow their minds like he does everywhere else!

Now the question just becomes, who will he have to contend with, once that date is finally set? Does anyone know where to look up the major album releases planned for April and May? Pause & Play is one site that I've checked in the past for upcoming CD info: www.pauseandplay.com/ But there are probably other, better sites that update more quickly. Here are some of the releases they list from mid-April through the end of May (I only included pop artists, or artists who seemed relevant to Adam, or who might have decent first week sales): April 17Eric Hutchinson Jason Mraz Train April 24Jack White May 1B.o.B Norah Jones Marilyn Manson Lisa Marie Presley Santigold Carrie Underwood Rufus Wainwright May 8Chris Brown Keane May 15Garbage Willie Nelson Santana Ryan Shaw Tenacious D May 22The Cult John Mayer John McLaughlin Slash I stopped there because I figured RCA would want the album out before the Idol season ends. As of now, April 24 seems like the best bet, and it's just clear of retrograde. But, unfortunately for us (but maybe better promo-wise), based on the things Adam has said lately, it sounds like the album might drop in May, so perhaps May 15 would be the next best choice.

I am still of the opinion, and it keeps getting reinforced, that BTIKM, was a song to just get out there and divert the attention away from the bastard album. I was hoping for a Katy Perry rollout, since he is now with her mgmt company(which did not happen). I think the big push for the album, is going to be with the second single. As you all know, I was not enamored with BTIKM, and felt RCA was putting Adam under the bus. Loved the vid though. But as time has gone by, I am giving more credence to my theory. Smokey, I think DMG is doing a fabulous job. That's who's getting all these magazine covers and private events $$$ for Adam. Katy has a different record label though. :-/

but Jezebel wasn't particularly meant to be a station promo, was it? It was a private party for a magazine, although there was a radio DJ involved as a host and a few tickets given away by that station. I feel like I've seen a fair number of songs leaked first in youtube live versions, but they rarely get covered above the low level gossip/pop blogs unless it's a really big name star. If you look at the hit counts on the Jezebel videos, they have probably been noticed by the hardcore fandom, but not outside it. I was not clear at all -- more accurately -- I find it odd that Adam did not do the single he was in the midst of doing a radio promo tour to promote at an event that was being promoted by a radio station and that was set up to be a PR event for Jezebel. Granted the song is a bit slow for a party event. The Jezebel event was a private event and not connected to RCA -- and it was the fourth private event where Adam has done some new music - in Montreal, Austria and Vail, and now in Atlanta. (I may have missed some.) --- I agree with you on the coverage of the 3 New Songs -- 31 online news articles about them and viewcount on videos is mostly just core fans -- Cuckcoo has about 35K views on YT (top 4 videos) and I found it on many other video services - so it might move beyond but I sort of doubt most people will notice. I'm curious why there was so much secrecy about the new songs when he performed them live in Austria, but at the Jezebel event, there was no attempt at secrecy? Is it just a matter of timing or what..? ???

Whew... just got through the thread. Quick comments...
Aceshowbiz article - first time I've seen AFL called "the Sleepwalker singer". Nice change.
Popcrush - he looked like a "high end waiter" - LOL. I thought he looked amazing.
Brad Walsh remix... love it! Was wondering what Adam will sing on American Idol - might he do a Brad Walsh remix type version of BTIKM if #2 single not yet released? He was so dramatic with WWFM on AI, so everyone will expect him to have something amazing for this huge AI audience. Love the new AI stage and camerawork so much better.
Chokehold... LOVE. THIS. SONG. Wish it had been #1 single. Prefer Cuckoo or Trespassing for #2 (or the Mars song if exceptional)
Yes Q3, we will vote, vote, vote - esp. HAC local stations. Have been listening a lot to Sirius 20/20 but always missed BTIKM. Yesterday heard IIHY there instead. DH has heard BTIKM on 20/20 - says sorry, but he doesn't like that song - doesn't grab him at all despite Adam's beautiful voice. Likes the new music much better.
