I hope that Freedom radio stations develop so that new singers like Adam don't have to jump through hoops to get played. It just stinks that radio is so full of power hungry SUITS.
I still hark back to that lovely film Pirate Radio..

I just requested BTIKM at my local station KLLC San Francisco, and when I told her I wanted to request BTIKM by Adam Lambert, she said, "Of course you do.. ".. hmmm odd thing for her to say.. hope that means she's getting lots of requests or it! ;D I have noticed - and this is JMHO - that when I call in and actually get to talk with the DJ in these contests that they have this tone with me as well. It's like they can tell you are not their demographic. Maybe I should have my teen nieces and nephews on the phone. Faster fingers and poor grammar. KBFF has taken to asking an Adam question (what song was he nominated for at the Grammys...what song did he sing at his AI audition) so the nieces and nephews would probably fail since they only tolerate Adam because of me.

U2 got their start in Ireland on pirate radio and the DJ that gave them their break there went on to become a legit DJ and a TV presenter there, guy by the name of Dave Fanning.
