Singing with Queen twice (or even a few more times) can't be the be all and end all to Adam's career. It is an amazing opportunity and accomplishment, but it's not all that Adam wants to be known for. Adam wants his own music career with his own music and I want that for him as well. Perhaps you are mistaking me for a Bieber fan. ::)I can assure you that I do not own one drop of his music in any form and I never intend to change that fact. I'm discussing the reason that Bieber can get away with having minimal Pop airplay and still sell millions of singles and albums. Adam does not have the same luxury that the Biebs has in this situation. That's the point, not that Bieber is in any way better than Adam. The "Apples and Oranges" meme doesn't apply here. I agree w Melliemom, it's a great honor but honor isn't selling #1 hits for his music or albums. The single BTIKM is not doing it right now so I said above, I believe we need to move on and release #2 whatever that is. He needs hits on the radio to sell his album - it's as simple as that. Too soon to move on. This single needs 2-3 more weeks. |

every fandom wants their favorite to be the biggest in the business selling millions and having #1 hits. that's to be expected and rightfully so.
For me, I don't care about chart positions or sales stats. I just want Adam to be fullfilled with the music he's making and to love what he's doing. If he's happy with the way his career is going then i'm a happy bert. The stuff I can't control I try to not worry about it.
Adam, by and large, is perceived as a major star around the world. How he's perceived in little pockets here or there really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Just goes to show you, that if a song is not on the radio, it won't get that huge of a bump when sung on Idol, at least not enough to propel it to the Top 100/200. That's about how high BTIKM got when he performed on Leno and Ellen. So all of the people who wanted Adam to debut a new song on Idol. |
