On the adds posted above, I noticed that the San Diego station just added Adam today. Also, that it is an automatic add. I am really trying to avoid the skerry "Numbers" thread, can someone shed some light on this? * KSCF-FM Pub 12 Hot AC San Diego 19/RCA CBS Radio 17 Sorry, don't the local radio stations support their local star? WTF??? I would have thought they would havebeen one of the first stations to add Adam's song. Yes, that is an auto-add. They suddenly started playing BTIKM last week after they played NAL's song several times. And this is Adam's home town San Diego??? Adam's song been out for a month, but they played NAL's song first.... UGGGHHH... don't like them |

Can we safely assume this is what he'll be singing for his Idol appearance then? (if it's not too far away) Max out the sales that week then move on to single 2? If this is the song to be sung at AI, then I would like to see Adam split this song.... 1/2 half acoustic because his voice is just beautiful with the soft sultry, heartbreaking tone and then the last 1/2 of the song, sing the same version as the single. Sorta like the theme of the song, light/dark voices psst I love the voice but I was hoping for a really bouncy next single on the AI performance so that the audience could be grooving....oh well.. Anyone take an educated guess on his appearance? I expect Idol around the album release which is maybe 4/30 -- today Adam confirmed Mapril is May-April. I think the comment means they were trying to recapture some of the Idol audience he lost with glam, generally craziness, AMA performance, and so on. Hence the ballad, angstly love song -- BTIKM. All pretty consistent with what I have heard -- they wanted Adam to be accessible to a mainstream audience -- no/natural makeup, no wild outfits, no dance pop, "nice gay" JMHO chasing the MOR fickle AI audience is a fool errand. Adam needs to be Adam. Leave BTIKM to the HAC and AC station and release a Pop single. Just let Adam be Adam. |

Brandi @glambert4097 And he's seriously one of the best huggers ever. I knew thats what everyone says, but its so different when he's actually hugging you! :D Adam had on one of the IIHY music video jackets! And I hit my upper lip on one of the studs when I hugged him. He's sooo tall. @947freshfm @tommymcfly Thank you sooo much for bringing Adam in today. I cant tell you how grateful I am to have been apart of it!  Adam said hello again to me! And asked if we had a good afternoon and it was good to see us again! AHHHH! He's soooo sweet! GUYYSS!!! I JUST HAD A LEGIT CONVERSATION WITH ADAM. AND I MADE HIM GIGGLE. AND HE HUGGED ME 3 TIMES. I couldn't agree with you more. I love BTIKM and am rooting for it. But I love even more watching Adam do songs he wrote that he feels, that show him at his cuckoo best!

I have to get back to this RCA/IDOL thing. RCA IS A BUNCH OF IDIOTS!!!!! OMG!!! No Idol needs their Idol fanbase to make it. The key is to pick up radio fans, young fans! That is why Carrie is big and Kelly. Gee, I have really been trying to give RCA the benefit of the doubt, but they are truly bigger idiots than I thought. That answer Adam gave is pretty much saying, "The label picked the single, not me."

I once described her as a type of kid that used to put forks in outlets.. gets zapped, then tries the spoon.. only to go back with the butter knife. Learns the long and hard way. You'd think that they would have figured out by now that Idol fans move on. Definite fools errand. |

Two things I loved about this interview. First when we hear Chokehold studio version " the track is REALLY LUSH" You hear that aloha? 8-) And the other thing he said when he was asked about Rico Love,is that he wanted to put as many of the songs he wrote on the album! And he did. !! Rico Love's song said it wasn't written by him. |

Q3 and Mys*&@^#r I agree: I feel like RCA is trying to keep Adam in the B Mars type mid-tempo safe crooner box and it is getting frustrating. It will be interesting to see what the next single is. No matter how good the Bruno Mars one is, I think Cuckoo would IMHO be the best because it screams simple, fun, catchy party tune for the summer.
Personally I am also hooked on Chokehold but that is yet another mid-tempo ballad type and I want something fun and uptempo for the next single. What can we do to help this happen. I know people say we have no influence with RCA/SONY and don't want to piss them off but that makes me feel helpless, and what if Adam really wants one of his co-writes to be the next single. His interviews and song choices of late would seem to support that... ???
