I have to get back to this RCA/IDOL thing. RCA IS A BUNCH OF IDIOTS!!!!! OMG!!! No Idol needs their Idol fanbase to make it. The key is to pick up radio fans, young fans! That is why Carrie is big and Kelly. Gee, I have really been trying to give RCA the benefit of the doubt, but they are truly bigger idiots than I thought. That answer Adam gave is pretty much saying, "The label picked the single, not me." I'm with you... coz he's been leaving the idol for 3 years now :  . They should forgot the Idol fanbase.. coz some of them wants him to sing rock or Mad World.. and some of them don't like pop Adam. :-/ Let me add, that I do not in any way think Adam is being puppeted or forced to dress in a certain way. No, I think he truly has more self confidence and believe when he says he may have used all the make up to hide behind. I am merely criticizing RCA for not letting the man pick his own single and for thinking that they can in any way win back the Idol audience. And since, that qote is not coming directly from Adam's lips, but being relayed by someone, I am going to step back a minute, take a few deep breaths and Go Whack a Mole!!!!!!!!! ;D |

Why do they have to have secret events in DC? Would it kill these radio stations to just give me the schedule????? {HITS HEAD ON WALL --- WALKS OFF MUMBLING} Ha! Poor Q3. Having lived in DC for many years, I can tell you what you already know-- there are many SECRET events and other things going on there. I'd tell you about them, but then I'd have to kill ya. ;D   |

Guitar playing aside, I am missing Kevin's back-up vocals. It seemed to me that Adam was missing them too. Kevin hasn't been doing back up vocals lately. Lately is probably last week? I have missed some of the acoustic BTIKM performances during the past 10 days due to crappy hotel wireless connections. I was comparing to those performances where Kevin did back-up vocals. I'll go and check last week's threads... |

Let me add, that I do not in any way think Adam is being puppeted or forced to dress in a certain way. If this is the song to be sung at AI, then I would like to see Adam split this song.... 1/2 half acoustic because his voice is just beautiful with the soft sultry, heartbreaking tone and then the last 1/2 of the song, sing the same version as the single. Sorta like the theme of the song, light/dark voices psst I love the voice but I was hoping for a really bouncy next single on the AI performance so that the audience could be grooving....oh well.. Anyone take an educated guess on his appearance? I expect Idol around the album release which is maybe 4/30 -- today Adam confirmed Mapril is May-April. I think the comment means they were trying to recapture some of the Idol audience he lost with glam, generally craziness, AMA performance, and so on. Hence the ballad, angstly love song -- BTIKM. All pretty consistent with what I have heard -- they wanted Adam to be accessible to a mainstream audience -- no/natural makeup, no wild outfits, no dance pop, "nice gay" JMHO chasing the MOR fickle AI audience is a fool errand. Adam needs to be Adam. Leave BTIKM to the HAC and AC station and release a Pop single. Just let Adam be Adam. Respectfully, to me "this" Adam is just as much Adam as the more edgy glam Adam. I can't see putting him in any one kind of box. He has many facets. One constant tho - Adam is always sexy, no matter what he is singing. I see BTIKM as very similar to WWFM, Adam's Grammy song. IMO, BTIKM was perfect for his first single. And possibly, probably this was a joint decision with Adam totally agreeing with this rollout. Keeping the Idol fans and building upon that original base. Good thinking. So IMO, Adam IS being Adam. And I think it's wrong when some fans speak of RCA as a company full of know-nothing idiots. I don't think Adam would agree with that opinion. ;D  |

melliemom -- ITA Adam seems to know how to play the game and win more than not. --- In the end, RCA is not totally stupid. Look at Kelly. If she would have release her album in March 2011 like she and her fans wanted, she would have been buried under Adele and Katy Perry and Rhianna and Lady Gaga and ,,,,,,, Instead, RCA waited, held back the best single, held the album for nine months and now she had to big hits and the album is still selling. Nothing could have saved Cook's album because it was not very commercial. ---- In the end, Adam's real music will be released and if the gods are smiling her will have some big hits. And what god would not smile on AFL???? Q3 I love you,you never fail to make me feel better. |

I once described her as a type of kid that used to put forks in outlets.. gets zapped, then tries the spoon.. only to go back with the butter knife. Learns the long and hard way. You'd think that they would have figured out by now that Idol fans move on. Definite fools errand. This is just my opinion but I'm an idol fan and I haven't moved on. I assume the majority of us here probably found Adam on idol and we're still here. The trick isn't shedding the idol fans, it's keeping them and building on that core fanbase. That is the issue that most idol artists face, they never expand beyond that core fanbase and then that fanbase dwindles. I get why RCA would continue to court the idols fans...they are fierce in their loyalty when they find an artist that they really connect with. |

Tobby, Adam was there to promote his single and he's talking about gossip, paps, music industry politics : ... bla.. bla.. and trying to tell Adam to straightned up his fans : .... not gonna works.. Jim Cantiello tried it couple of years ago but Adam keep on saying he loves his fans and we're just so excited .. and now Tobby's tried too.. LOL .. Good for Adam he turned around to talk about his music |
