Hm, the chat room seems to have lured haters too... I hope Adam does not have to read all that. :(

The translation Although, it surprises me that Adam and Kris will both have their album come out in May. I was hoping late April for Adam. I know nothing about music marketing, but, IMO, it makes little difference who else is releasing at the same time as Adam, in terms of potential sales of HIS album. In fact, it may even help. I have noticed that certain products intentionally position themselves in proximity to their competition. For example, there are a number of car dealers on the same stretch of road, or a number of boutiques with similar kinds of merchandise in the same area. Shoppers who are looking for a product tend to comparison shop or sample from various vendors. If someone is looking for a certain artist's release, and, while looking sees that Adam also is releasing a new album, they may be inclined to check him out as well. Few shoppers of music say to themselves, "Well, I only have enough room on my charge card for ONE CD, so, I will have to choose which one I want." I also think that regardless of what other music is out at the time of the release of Trespassing, it is gonna be so mega-good that it will get rave reviews and tons of press. So, just release it already!!!

metrosource.com.s123317.gridserver.com/2012/03/16/a-very-lambert-listen/NEW YORK, NY (5/16/12) Adam Lambert
stopped by NYC’s Elmo in Chelsea last night to preview a few tracks from his new album “Trespassing” for a select group of gay tastemakers. Even in a crowd dressed to impress, all eyes were on Lambert as he mingled about the room — in part because of sheer height but also because Lambert possesses a personal radiance that borders on dazzling. After playing about five songs, Lambert asked for the crowd’s favorite and the general consensus was that “Trespassing” was the biggest hit (though I’m pretty sure I saw Lambert smile when I called out “Outlaws of Love” as my pick). “Thank you for your time. Thank you for your support. This album is for us; it’s for our community,” said Lambert by way of goodbye, excusing himself because he had to rush off to catch a plane to Chicago. When I mingled my way over to Lambert, I couldn’t resist asking what he was listening to right now. It went a little something like this: more....

HaHa. Fans seem to be grasping at straws trying to come up with questions to ask him. I love him to death but TBH I don't give a hoot what color toothbrush he uses. ;D ;D ;D

This date isn't anything we can take the bank yet, is it? Won't there be something more official? ??? They are also not giving us an exact date, just May, which does still fall into Maypril.

cassie, it surprises me because I have carefully watched the release of all the Idols albums, by RCA, in the past year and none have come out the same month. If they do May for Adam and Kris it will just be different and not follow the RCA pattern. I do not mean it would influence Adam's sales at all. No way! However, I actually have had 2 different stans, who work in marketing, say it wouldn't surprise them because it would help with Kris promo. Adam's album would remind people of Kris (maybe.) :-/
