I agree with you on everything you said, but not on the finnish incident. I there were only a few claiming it was domestic abuse. TMZ, PH. But I thought it just came across quiet ridiculous. Of course those who wanted to believe it did, but those one are not relevant as they will see something wrong in everything Adam does. They would even claim he cannot sing just because he did not hit a note once. But I think it made some guys think that Adam is just a guy like them, not the gay, OTT and eyeliner wearing guy, a guy to whom they actually can relate to. These are the ones that are important, these are the ones he could win over as fans, because they are open-minded enough to give him a chance. I'm not saying it was good what happened, but in the aftermath it wasn't bad either IMO. Yes it might have just mattered to a few haters, but how are you sure some radio PDs or corporations were not some of those haters? Most of these people are straight guys with their conservative views. Any allibi to proof the gay is a violent pervert? And it was just not on TMZ and Perez, it was on all the entertainment news across the world. Even after the incident had died down, Finland was still going on about it with magazine prints. Fans were just smart enough to not help give it a second wind in the news by keeping Finland attempt at a second round in-house. If you want to believe it was just limited to Perez and TMZ, how come he was constantly asked about until very recently in all his single round interviews? The impression I had, is that many said it was a bar brawl and not domestic abuse. But I may be wrong. And for me there is a difference between these two. And yes, I'm aware that those haters could also be PDs. But I don't know why it matters. They will hate no matter what he does and their prejudices against Adam or gays in general were there before the incident. What can Adam change about that? Pretent to be someone, who he is not? I really do not care about those closeminded people. I believe there are enough open-minded PDs who are willing to support Adam and can make the right song an hit and the rest may follow or not, but at some point it may look stupid to ignore Adams songs.

Guys - tone it down and keep it civil or this thread is getting locked.

Whatever happened to destiny....... IMHO,Adam is destined to be great, there will always be bumps in the road for anyone on the path to greatness. I believe he will be considered great in the future. Come on Adamtopia look at artists who slaved away at their art and were called all kinds of unkind things, only to become famous later on in life .It takes time and many ups and downs to reach the heights,it's all part of the journey. We signed up to take the invited journey with Adam and that's what we're doing. So let's keep the journey positive and full of light.. Adam is worth it..He's talented,he's smart,he's gorgeous, he's creative, innovative, original and kind.. He's got it all and he will find his path to the success he wants one way or another.Buckle up.

If you want to believe it was just limited to Perez and TMZ, how come he was constantly asked about until very recently in all his single round interviews? Pervert? How is a fight with his boyfriend turned into something perverted? This whole thing is bullshit! The "Finland incident" is not what is keeping BTIKM from being played in the US, Canada, Australia and Europe. No one cares about this anymore! He hasn't been consistently asked about it. Everyone has moved on, maybe fans should do the same. We here are fans and don't see it that way. You cannot say for others though as you wouldn't know their perception of what happened. We are trying to understand radio politics here since Adam who should know what the problem is says radio is not about the quality of the song. I believe his assessment of radio more than any fan here. You think the song is the problem and I feel contrary to that. As to why it is not enjoying radio play in Canada and elsewhere, I already gave my opinion about that I.e. bigger markets influence what smaller markets get to play and that is in fact a fact and not a formulated fallacy. My country for example jumps on any hit song coming from the USA. They might be playing, but drop you on their playlist faster than you came on the moment they sense no major market is on board.

[starts looking seriously annoyed] gbam - I know you're new here. Please read the ATOP rules. They're on the front page of the News Thread. For brevity's sake, however, I'll reprint below. Don't tell other posters what to say or feel or you might find yourself in "Time Out" for a day or two. It is fine to have opinions. Its not fine to be consistently argumentative about them. Please dial down the intensity. Its not needed here. People know how to rationally discuss issues without it. Thank you.

I see I am stepping on toes already. I am sorry about that. I did not know I was coming out intense. They were things that had been on my mind that Adam comfirmation gave me the push to spill them out.
Rabbi....., I might answer tommorow when the intensity might have already been under control.

I would check my PM Mod. Thanks for giving me the space to spill my mind.
And Tigerlilly, I do listen to POP music. I am of that demographic. Everyone should know the world is a global village and music is universal. I don't have to live in the States to know what is going on. I follow closely the music charts and what is popular. It is totally a wrong assumption to say only the people in the US know what is going on in the music scene there.
Look at iTunes accross the world, the same sets of popular US artists outside of the Ciuntry artists. That is how universal popular music is.
And the US music blog is mostly run by foreigners. That is a proof that popular music cuts above where you come from.
Thanks for the audience once again. Muah! to y'all as I believe we are all doing this because we are passionate about Adam.
