My thing is, I just don't think BTIKM is going to be high enough on the charts (and, really, we are only talking HAC here, CHR isn't spinning) with a high enough AI to really get much more than temporary bump on iTunes even after an Idol performance. It's not going to be anywhere close to where WWFM was when Adam performed it. Better for the album to perform a brand-new uptempo song which, hopefully, will have been getting some significant spins on CHR for a few weeks. ^^^This^^^  If he does Idol in April, then BTIKM should be sung. If he does Idol in May, then the new single should be done and hopefully it will have been on radio 3-4 weeks. I think the big stations, like Z100, will jump on board faster with one of these new songs. |

Can you imagine Cuckoo on Idol??? Or any of the others really. BTIKM would just not be very exciting and any bump would be small & fleeting...so wasted imo. ETA: Oooops. The rumor I heard was that Adam would be performing on Idol on April 5. If they already set that, it would be hard to switch it at this late date, wouldn't it?Comment myspenser? |

He tapes New Now Next on April 5th. Don't know how he could do Idol the same day?

Hopefully, he will be on Idol in May. We need a new single around the first of April. RCA, get your butt in gear!!!!
I definitely expect Mayer to pass tomorrow or the next day at the latest. I think Adam will pass Selena soon, but probably not this week unless a miracle occurs! (Not holding my breath!) Do not think there are any songs that are eligible to go recurrent this week. I hope that BTIKM will continue on HAC and the new single on CHR. That would be the best of both worlds (unless HAC decides to play the new single, too).

Well, that's just weird!! I actually think he will pass Selena this week. If not tonight, then by the official Sunday night numbers. Been keeping track of Selena and she's going down about 75 a day while Adam is going up about 25 a day. So, he will pass her soon. |
