So Kevin returned to LA after the Atlanta show. Have we seen him since then? Do you think Tommy and he are "taking turns" on the radio promo? Hitting on an intern during promo does not seem professional to me, but being a "rock star" is not a typical day job. And it all would have been fine if the girl chose not to share. weird to me, especially if they are still really in contact and she is really interested in him. ugh to all the dj commentary. i guess the part that bothers me the most about this is that courtney (er..umm) like had to "spill". If the girl is smart, she discussed the spillage with Kevin. If Kevin is smart, he discussed this with Adam. Adam gets more millage out of the Atlanta promo and we think we're listening to some private behind the scenes secrets. What did we learn about Adam from this? We learned that Adam knows how to steer the fangirls away from himself. He directed the party to the roof-top bar and politely excused himself. |

aww thanks.  I always miss atop so I can't stay away for very long even if I don't post. It's so nice here! The exams didn't go that well but I've actually been looking at other degrees, I've been thinking about changing and the fact that my grades weren't so good only solidified that decision for me. Nice to see you (and your beautiful avi) fallenangel. And best of luck with the changes in your studies--great way to think about it. Sometimes things that upset us at the time are actually blessings in disguise, because they push us in directions that make us happier. So congrats! Been clicking on March Madness like mental I mean passionate person  When I started it was 48 for Adam it is now 50.02%.. They have put me on ice so I have to hold of for little while. |

Just remember with the March Madness vote that as far as we know there is no benefit to Adam winning. No increased airplay, no on air award, nada - zip - zilch. RCA Ed had said that RCA strongly encourages fan participation in these types of polls. Especially ones like MTV and VH1. He said they help with visibility and keeping Adam's name out there. When fans of other groups go and do their voting they see Adam's name. If you stop voting MTV, VH1 will stop putting Adam in them. The more of these type of things that Adam wins the better. It's Adam's fans that have kept his presence know throughout the down time. DJ's from several stations and I do mean several have pointed out that when they tweet out anything about Adam or print anything it goes virel. So they keep doing it. This is how Adam remains relevant. To say you going to pass on these polls is counter-productive. As fans there is limited amount of things we can do to push Adam along in his career. The biggest thing Adam has going for him right now are the fact that his fans are BSC.....I mean passionate.  Lol, I vote on everything and anything (except twititions). However, this is not down time, there are several ways to request and vote that have a tangible immediate impact on BTIKM's radio or video play TODAY or THIS WEEK. I just wanted to put a heads up out there for people who have limited time and can't or don't want to vote on everything to make it easier to prioritize. I've noticed in the past that sometimes the contests that get a lot of fan involvement and make a lot of noise, drown out the contests that actually have more tangible results. I'm not recommending 'don't vote on this' I'm saying 'if you only have ten minutes to vote/request this morning, maybe put this lower down your list'.  |

I also had some issues with the March Madness voting - every time I voted Adam's percentage went down. Odd. I will try again later and see what happens.

What? Where was that? Okay, I'm on a low patience ebb with DATE!GATE today apparently. First Adam alleges May to the radio and then he says there's no date again and that he doesn't even know if a duet will be on the album. WTAF??? We GET that there are logistics, but jeeeeeeeeze, other RCA artists have release dates in May set. (And the name of the month itself is a vague term, so I put it at the same level as "soon" for me >:( >:() In that video he says very clearly that it isn't up to him and that a lot has to do with the international release. I personally didn't think it was likely to be released in April given that they are still recording song vocals now. As long as he has a single (first or second) to perform, he can still do it on TV shows even if the album isn't yet out, correct? Yeah, I know it's not up to him. We've always known that. The point is that RCA hasn't named a date when other artists (some international) have dates in May inked. Why can't they just do it and make the rest happen? They do it for everything else. Doing all this promo with no concrete date is just getting ridiculous. Having such a vague message is NOT good PR. It comes off as disorganized and as if there are internal problems, IMO. BTW, I don't think that is the case at all, but that's because I watch and listen to most interviews. People who DON'T follow as closely won't realize that. Already people were RTing tweets this morning from fans who had NO IDEA the date changed and that "Trespassing" would not be out tomorrow. (And some of these were from people with Adam avis.) There are MANY even invested fans that don't follow as closely as we do and I'm sorry, it's really sounding disorganized at this point. Even the Fresh website in NY had the drop date listed as March 20 this weekend. Thanks Gelly, I was listening w/one earbud at work and must've missed it. I thought I heard whole interview, but maybe not. |
