I should have read midwifespal's post before I went off half-cocked on that EW article. She is someone who thinks before she speaks posts!

Thanks Lynne, Hoopla, and all you smart folks who remember to preserve every word, every picture, every twitter, every appearance with Adam. The one and only time I had any contact with Adam was when he first was on twitter. I think he had a couple thousand followers. Everything was so new. If I had know then what I know now................ Anyway, someone had tweeted some kind of snide remark to him on twitter. Of course, I shot a tweet off to Adam. I don't remember what it said but it was a compliment to counteract the negative one. Before I could take a breath Adam answered back with some small thank you message. I could not react. I sat looking at it with my mouth open. I felt like someone had hit me in the side of the head. My heart was pounding, and I felt so scared I shut twitter off. Isn't this a story for the ages. I still tear up everytime I think about it. I guess I am just one of those people who cannot react to an emergency. I freeze. I am still upset, and it has been over three years. I still relive it and my heart beats faster each time. I don't know what this says about me, and I don't think I want to know. I never even went back to see if I could retrieve it. How lame is that? I love your story. Seems like that response should still be on there somewhere! |

I'd like to say to whoever wrote that piece in EW: You know who doesn't think that FUN stole Adam's Queen-esque mojo? QUEEN!!! I don't see FUN (whoever they are; I'm not familiar with them or their song) being asked by Brian May and Roger Taylor to sing lead for them at Sonisphere!
I'm trying not to let it get to me, but it really bugs me that EW has ignored good news about Adam, like the EMAs and Sonisphere and the rave reviews about Trespassing by people who have heard it, while they seem to grab every opportunity to dish out snarky little insults. I, too, subscribe to the magazine and I'm not going to be one of those silly people who cancels their subscription over a few meaningless swipes at someone they like, but I'd still like to slap that writer in the face with a rancid fish.

If there is anyone here in the SF Bay area who wants to see Adam, call Jane the DJ at 97.3, she just gave passes to two of my friends. The number there is 1 800 400 3697!! GOOOOOOOO!!!! I'm not even kidding. She just gave my BFF two passes and my other friend two passes!! Just talk to her. Like now, she seems to be in a very giving mood!! OMFG.....she is giving me passes!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm on hold!!!!!!!!!! She remembered the email I sent about the car story!! So excited for all of you!!!! |

Lynnnnnneeeeee!!!!! Your recap was wonderful, thank you so much!  or should I say... girl girl ? ;D So glad you had that fantastic experience, especially the serendipity of it, it's kind of like a
bonus on life, something really lovely you didn't recon on. Sweet.And not to make this all about me, but I've never met Adam, and never seen him in person other than on stage, so it sorta feels like he's this fantastic figment of my imagination sometimes--like he and I don't actually exist as real people in the same universe, and then you go and ASK HIM ONE OF MY QUESTIONS FROM ASK ADAM!!!!  :D :D :D The question about music choice and an international fandom was mine! I almost feel like I asked him a question myself now!! I email in questions all the time to radio stations, magazines, etc, that ask for them and I've never had a single one of them picked, and now I feel like Adam answered something just for me and i'm all    ;D And I really loved his answer, too. So thank you soo much for that gift, as well. OH, and while I'm thanking "my girls"  , HOOPLA, thanks again for your totally wonderful recap, too. We're very lucky here at Atop, no doubt about it. OOOh OOooh Oooh and Mia and Zinnia too!!! and now I realize I could go on and on so I won't. But I do wanna say, Cassie, that I love the way your subconscious thinks, and my subconscious and your subconscious oughta sit down and have a good long gab! Well no wonder it was a great question! ;D Thanks for the material. You can be my Cyrano anytime, lol. Example of how good you are: the bolded part of your post. Well I can't get too upset.. its not exactly the strongest song. I enjoy it, but I think it would have made a better album cut or bonus track. ETA: HOW did the "We are Young" song come up in conversation? I think is a weak single. These a bit of a discussion about Nathan Ruess lead singer of FUN in the vocal masterclass thread because a month or so ago Rolling Stone also made the comparison. The single "we are young" is #1 here in Australia and played ad nauseum on radio... No comparison to Adam's vocals, but I love FUN. I love "we are young" I think it's a great single and I love their song Carry on |

Amazing adorable close ups , during the interview and especially during Cuckoo where he censores himself, it's so much fun to watch him! He loves singing that song!
