Only just got here and missed the livestream, but just watched the above vid, and I've got serious chills. Adam sounds unreal singing that song. That was, for me, a totally unexpected level of awesome. I have no clue at all about singing, and I'd love to get Cassie or someone's take, but that seemed like an incredibly difficult thing to pull off to me, requiring remarkable breath control, and he sounded wonderful. And it took spectacular advantage of the atmospheric riches of his voice. I found it a thrilling performance. I loooove Cuckoo and Trespassing (the bestest), and I want one of them to be the next single for one big reason: Adam wrote them. I think Adam's skills as a songwriter deserve to be recognized, and I believe, though I can't know, that that would make him happiest. But DAMN, kids--if it's Adam's vocal wonders, once again, that get showcased, I won't cry about it. I'd liked to see Bruno fucking try to sing that shit like that! Jeepers! |

But didn't we all know that BTIKM wasn't cut out for the UK anyway and it wasn't being released there for that reason? Seems like they're paving the way for breaking him out with single #2 whatever it is. Sorry, but it's gonna be a cold day in hell before I take an opera singer's opinion on how a record label is handling a pop singer's career. LOL jfc. Seriously? Ugh.  THIS. |

I honestly have not had a moment of worry about this album or Adam. He is in love, has a great family and friends, has almost complete creative freedom, can afford to shop whenever he wants.... I really do not think Adam wants or needs his fans to worry -- I think he needs his fans to support him, and to appreciate his performances, and to buy his music. JMHO YMMV  |

Wow - I think it's been a looong week or three - I hope people take this the right way, but "expertise" is not the end all and be all. The people who listen to music on the radio and buy singles and albums, especially casual fans or newbies, aren't into analyzing vocal quality, tonal depth, etc, etc, etc. They hear something, it catches their fancy, and that's it. I think there will be a number of songs on this album that will do well based on what we've heard so far. And I quite like NCOE as well as the others. Different songs for different moods. Just like I have on my ipod right now - back to my hidey hole :-) Don't hide..I think Trespassing will have a wide range of music to suit all tastes. Once the new single is announced, maybe folks can relax a bit more. |

As Adam told the crying woman this evening, "deep breath" -- just breathe deeply. That helps me through a lot of anxiety and I always tell others who are panic prone the same thing. Deep Breath!!!
