I'm not angsting....we've got three or four songs up for contention for the next single. All of them are extraordinary! Other fan groups can only hope to be so lucky!

Thank you NoAngel, you just said what I am feeling I think I will leave all creative control to Adam and RCA. They have been doing a great job. They DO NOT have the final say on what the PROGRAM DIRECTORS put on their PLAYLISTS. All they can do is have Adam go there and charm them as much as he can. As Adam said BABY STEPS

Yes. Yes it is. Here's my recap of the night. I probably have forgotten much of it but Emily and Abriton will fill in the holes. The Bing was very full and you could not get in without a ticket. I think they actually overbooked. Adam came out to great applause and looked just marvelous. He had on more make-up than he has in recent days but maybe this was because this was an evening appearance. From streams and you tubes already up, you can see he was wearing his beautiful blue shirt with the sweater vest. Black tight pants. The DJ wasn't too bad and he is an Adam fan. I don't know if you picked up the audience reaction, but there was great applause for the three songs. I was only disappointed that we didn't get to hear Trespassing instead of WWFM, but since this is an audience of contest winners, many probably haven't stayed in touch with his music since Idol. Tommy was trying to get the audience to pick "Trespassing". We only were able to submit written questions and I liked the one about the burning house and what he would save. This was submitted by the crying girl in the front who got to read the question to Adam. They kept mentioning her and Adam was telling her to just take a deep breath. What a sweetheart. After the singing, we all lined up and in groups of 4, we had a picture with Adam. Yeah, I made a beeline to be the inside (Sorry Em for running you over for that spot!). I asked for a hug and he said "of course". Then my brain may have gone numb because I forgot all my carefully rehearsed statements. I managed to blurt out "Is it Trespassing for the next single" and he said it hasn't been decided. A week ago, I would have bet money it was Trespassing but now I don't know. Guys, it may be NCOE. This is a beautiful song and I am beginning to like it a lot. I am floating on Cloud 9. Very happy to meet Emily and see Abriton again.

Adam's vocal abilities is putting wings on NCOE. I am stil not in a loving mode for this song . And I did not like Trespassing when I first heard it. I am liking it from the snippet.
I may just change my mind when I get the entire album... there is probably something else there that I can make my 2012 anthem or if there is none hhhmmm , I will deal with that on May 15. I will not worry about something beyond my control.

smokeyvera... It's ok... critics are aplenty. Like someone up thread said, it's the taste of the mass populace that, fair or not, determineds the popularity of pop culture or its success. It's generally not sound nor reasonable to hold one or a couple people's opinions above others. I am sure they (experts, critics) themselves don't believe that such high regards are deserving. Well, at least I hope they don't ...

But didn't we all know that BTIKM wasn't cut out for the UK anyway and it wasn't being released there for that reason? Seems like they're paving the way for breaking him out with single #2 whatever it is. Sorry, but it's gonna be a cold day in hell before I take an opera singer's opinion on how a record label is handling a pop singer's career. LOL jfc. Seriously? Ugh. I'm sorry, but those UK reviews from people who actually HEARD the songs (recorded, even if not completely finished) were 99% POSITIVE--and many were RAVE REVIEWS. Lots of peeps who heard them LIKED NCOE very much. I don't--neither do the twenty-somethings I'm with right now--"generic" they say--and the lyrics aren't interesting to me, too NON-Adamish to be a fav of mine, even though he sang the FUCK out of that song tonight! BUT JMeehan for one (and others, I think) LOVED NCOE. So, IDC what the new single is, as long as the damned radio stations play it. And I have some doubts about RCA--I just think they should let Adam FLY--give him total control--but for all I know, he doesn't want that. I WOULDN'T WANT TO HAVE TO CHOOSE HIS 2ND SINGLE! :-/ I LOVE LOVE LOVE 4 SONGS AND LIKE THE REST! I'm useless. But as much as I respect Angelina's knowledge about "voice" she doesn't know a damn bit more than I do about what will work. IMO. ETA: No offense meant to Angelina AT ALL. I LOVE to hear her opinions/info about A's voice. Thanks for clarifying that she was ASKED to comment. But really, several of the younger listeners on his UK promo tour NCOE. J/S.

Feel the need to defend Angelina a bit. WE asked her whether she thought Adam would get a better reception in the UK this time around, and if the radio stations were ready to jump on board and play his music. WE ASKED for her opinion. She thought that BTIKM was not a good choice for a single in the UK. Not the kind of music being played there. In her opinion, neither is NCOE. TP or Cuckoo would be a better fit, but the problem remains about getting airplay. Their target audience is kids 18-24 and Adam is too old at 30. : They play limited foreign artists, and have to have a compelling reason to choose someone. She does think that after Adam appears with Queen and blows people's minds, he will gain acceptance in the UK as an artist. Angelina is not a music marketing person in the UK, any more than most of us are. Yet, we all feel free to offer our opinions, sometimes unsolicited. And, WE ASKED HER for her opinion. Yes, she is an opera singer of some renown, and a highly respected vocal coach. She has been performing on stage for a large majority of her life, and is surrounded by other performers. I, for one, greatly appreciate her taking the time to Skype with us and share her perspectives on his voice and performance ability. I found her stories about the London showcase fascinating. Her insight on his vocal technique invaluable. Her discussion about the energy flow out from Adam and his ability to also draw the audience in to him, and her narrative about the energy/atmospheric charge he generates was wonderful to hear. Angelina is a true vocal expert AND a true Glambert. She is working hard to get the word out about what an extraordinary artist he is. I love to hear anything she has to say. I agree Cassie! Angelina loves Adam, and her opinion is just her opinion. A lot of us have that same opinion, but none of us are in the know! Only time will tell who was right.

I'm wondering why she's saying that BTIKM isn't a good choice for a single in the UK when it has been made amply clear that they are not releasing BTIKM in the UK? Is she just agreeing with that decision? And since we have absolutely no evidence yet of what the second single will be, I'd propose that it's a bit soon to start handwringing over NCOE being a giant, worldwide flop. My impression is that Angelina did not realize that some fans in the US knew that BTIKM was not going to be released in the UK. She said this like it was "news". No doubt she is a massive Adam fan but I think she has limited exposure to US fans because she is very busy. I have chatted with a number of Lambrits and they all think that BTIKM is the kind of music American fans like. ETA: American Adult Pop, country and most WGWG music does not sell in the UK.
