3.25.12 - 3.31.12 Numbers Thread

Radio isn't jumping on board with BTIKM cause the song has been out since the end of December, went for radio adds 2 months ago, and still isn't racing up the charts. RCA screwed up big time, IMO, by waiting a month after the impact date to start the radio promo. They wasted time by sending him to Europe first, instead of having him film the music vid in December, having it ready to go in January and starting the radio promo at the same time. If all of this had happened, things might have gone a lot differently. At the very least, he could have had a Top 5 HAC song by now. Let's face it, radio wants you to come kiss their ass before they play your song and the ass kissing started too late. But having said that, the current promo should make a difference with the upcoming single. I'm hoping they make an announcement soon, before this radio promo ends, instead of waiting too long and their timing being off again. Adam shouldn't be continuing to promote a song that isn't going to go that much further on the HAC charts and is going nowhere on CHR.

I also think a lot of stations didn't jump on IIHY (namely down south where I live) cause Adam didn't do any radio promo with the release of FYE album release. He didn't do promo down here until his tour brought him down here, which by that time was in the fall and too late. I'm at least glad to see the ramped up radio promo this go around and not just in LA/NY/PHILLY which was about the extent of it when FYE was released. I think it will make a huge difference this time around, if RCA will just get timing right.
