You know, in a strange way I'm proud of Biebs.
New Direction is stealing all his thunder (and may soon take a good chunk of his fans), but the kid isn't going to go quietly into the night. Putting up a fight. Good for him.

I don't know. I still feel like it's gotta be more than just the song. Bieber's adds just show that it's the person who is singing the song more so than the song itself, imho. I guess Adam's next single will be the true test of whether radio doesn't want anything to do with Adam the person because all the possible singles are so good and if radio rejects them, then I'm going to assume it's the person, not the song.

Adam isn't anywhere near the level JB is at...yet. Radio pays attention to artists who sell millions of albums, sell out arenas around the world and appeal to teenagers. Bieber is young, cute and is dating another tween/teen princess. JB also has the backing of some of the big names in the rap/hip hop world. Radio will approach the next single by Adam the way they approach other singles by artists who are moderately established. If single #2 fits their playlist and they see listeners responding to it by shooting it up to number 1 on iTunes- they will add it and spin it. If the song continues to get massive listener support, the station will increase their spins and move it up high into their playlist rotation.

I'm just feeling negative about it all right now. I'll feel better once a new single is put out.

Adam is wildly successful,His name is known around the world,He's been up for a Grammy,He has had two great singles ,sold out tours around the world, is now about to launch his second album, he's in magazines all over the planet and he's appearing with Queen. I call this amazing, how many artists have this kind of visibility. Radio is part of the equation, not all of it. How many singers are played on radio .. 10-20 over and over again.
Somehow I think Adam's fans are more critical than his detractors , Some patience and positivity would be great . Just saying..
To add to this, Radio play may be on it's way out, sooner than later. The whole music business is changing and how to sell songs is just entering a new dawn.Adam is a very wonderful singer with smarts and IMHO he will be on the cutting edge of this new age. Have some faith in the process Y'all

Have some faith in the process Y'all I think some of us are just a tad bit diappointed in the roll out of his single BTIKM and the fact that it hasn't taken off. I think we expected him to rocket to the stars and over the moon immediately. ALl we can do now is hold on for the next single and keep fingers crossed that this next single will do exactly what we had hoped BTIKM would do. He is successful, we just want more...

Apparently he lost one HAC station that was on the panel. Does anyone know which one & if they played BTIKM a lot?
Before - 95 stations Now - 94 stations
And he now has 99 adds instead of 100.
Anyone have an explanation as to why a station would be removed from the panel? I of course am clueless.

Have some faith in the process Y'all I don't agree that Adam is wildly successful but I want him to be. He needs successful singles to help sell his album to become wildly successful and radio play is still, for now, the way to get those hits. Seeing as how BTIKM has not taken off, I think it's fair to be a little pessimistic for now and I see that Sonisphere has been cancelled so my pessimism is increasing at the moment.
