I get that everyone has opinions, and not everyone has to like every song. But dang, it's disheartening to read so much trashing and mocking of songs that happen to not be your favorite. It's not like it elevates one song when another is ripped apart. I don't get it. Especially after a fantastic livestream like tonight. I wanted to bring this over from last night and say, THANK YOU, whatfun !! I was cringing when I read some of the posts that were trashing his music that he worked so hard on, FOR US. So what if he didn't write some of the songs, he still chose and recorded them and put his own sound on them and his own fans ridiculing for sport was totally uncalled for, IMO. Okay, you don't like the song, that's fine, we got it, but beating it like a piñata isn't really necessary. We know his friends and relatives are aware of this board; I can't imagine them reading some of the posts that tear his work to shreds. His performance of NCOE is breathtaking. Happy birthday lifeisnow and animeearth!!!!I appreciate both of you for saying this. I ended up closing out the site last night because it was ruining what was a lovely performance. Adam is proud of all the songs he's selected to put on the album and for me bashing them is like giving Adam a kick in the shins. I know everyone wants the best for Adam, I'm just tired of continually reading that his label is out to ruin his career. Sometimes it feels like his fans are his biggest critics. Does anyone have the most recent DL for the album snippets? I accidentally deleted NCOE. I had 3 and wanted to delete 2 of them, but they are all gone

Hmmm... Think maybe we're just single radio play anxious, lol. Usually I am more zen, as in all honesty, myself, I would enjoy listening to Adam sing most anything. I am anxious about things in RL right now, though, and maybe that is spilling over a bit. Sorry if I harshed anyone's mellow. I like all four songs, just speculate sometimes on what might "hit" more, but I know nothing, lol. My husband and I have come up with a formula we think works for top 40, after listening to a bunch of it, that we will be happy to pass on to Adam if he is lurking here. You think of a frequently used phrase or saying in the English language, and then sing it over and over and build your song around it, lol. So by that measure, Cuckoo works because we've heard "party till they take you away."  I posted a "my husband/NCOE more bland than other songs" comment, but will add, to clarify, that he also thought that Adam's vocals were still incredible. And frankly, he is not the best predictor of what radio will spin like crazy as he LOVES BTIKM. Whatever single is put out, I will be behind it 100%, and every song I see Adam sing, as he is performing live, becomes pure gold for me. When I first heard WWFM and IIHY, they were my least favorite songs on that album, lol, so by that standard, RCA should ask me my least favorite tracks and go with those. Of course, I have since come to love these songs after so many memories of seeing Adam make them sing for me in concerts. That is the magic of Adam. And I can't wait to experience more of it!!!!! |
