I am loving me acoustic NCOE. Hey, a girl has a right to change her mind, right? After several (dozen) listens, his vocals are just blowing my mind. That Bb he goes up to on "our eye-EYES" is such a treat. The first time he just floats it in pure head voice. Then, when it comes around later, he hits it with such a powerful, rich full voice. It is almost operatic. Really. His chest is fully expanded and I can almost FEEL that expansiveness and vibration sympathetically thru the computer screen. AND THERE IS NO HINT OF STRAIN OR PUSH AT ALL. Of course, Bb4s are firmly in Adam's wheelhouse, but he seems to be getting more richness out of them as time goes on. Damn! Hi guys
I got a call from 95.5 in Portland after I was at the Bing yesterday and they said I won a trip to LA for 3 days, April 12, 13 and 14 for two,to see American Idol and (Oh dear!) meet James Durbin. (Maybe I can get out of that!) Flight and hotel paid. It is for 2. Why isn't it for the week that Adam is there! Is this all because my name is Adele ??

Q3, thank you for all those details!! I couldn't believe it when I read people feared RCA was trying to "drive Adam out" as if they couldn't just release him anytime they wanted to?? (Lee and Crystal, hello?) I wasn't aware that Cook is working on his new album – there you go! They have sunk a goldmine into this album and they obviously have tremendous faith in Adam to make him the Exec. Producer. He's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve (and no BS in his bag!)  And you're right, even if he wasn't played on radio AT ALL, he still has a lot of pop culture end-arounds, which will include TV once the album is released, Internet and US!!! ALL the stations are salivating at Bieber's new single today, but HE doesn't get a whole lot of play either. Bieber's career is happening in spite of radio, not because of it. There ARE ways around it. Additionally, after listening to radio all weekend (which I usually don't do on weekends), there are many artists that are played A LOT who I don't hear about or see on TV, in entertainment media, etc. I do see billboards for their appearance though, and they're often at very small venues. It's easy to get caught up in the "ZOMG!! He NEEDS a HIT!!" but he will be fine.

This is re "One fan at a time"...
Driving home from work last night around 7:30 I was listening to KJR/Classic Rock when the female DJ asked if anyone caught the Bob Rivers show on Friday. She said so snd so was visiting, and mentioned the comedian from Full House and then said they reached out into the hallway and grabbed ADAM LAMBERT ! (I'm paraphrasing as I don't remember her words verbatim) but his name was stated excitedly and she commented he would be fronting Queen in June at Knebworth . No American Idol association mentioned.
Next "Another One Bites the Dust" played and I thought how many listeners were just informed a rock station was giving credibility to this new singer !
IMO the majority of rock and r&b fans are fixed on the voice, not so much the looks. And we absolutely know Adam's voice is incomparable.
I was quite pleased...(big grin)!
