My iPod inside my brain is confused and constantly on shuffle mode with Adam songs. Most mornings, it greets me with some random song I have heard at some point in my life, sometimes something I haven't heard since childhood. But recently, it is playing one of Adam's songs from Trespassing. This morning it was NCOE, a song I have only heard maybe a dozen times, and that I thought had no hook. My brain obviously disagrees with me, cuz it was replaying lines and lyrics upon my awakening. Typically whatever random song my brain settles on will continue to play while I go thru my morning routine, but today, it shuffled between NCOE, Cuckoo, TP and BTIKM. So, even my subconscious brain cannot decide which song it wants for the next single. I am gonna take that as a sign that they are all GOOD. Just curious, do any others of you have a similar brain iPod that plays songs in your head immediately when you wake? Which song did it settle on this morning? YES! In fact sometimes I am a bit worried about my subconscious being so greatly imprinted by my stanning. I can picture myself, old and demented in a nursing home and all I will be able to verbalize is Adam-isms and Adam songs. Then, the extent of my obsession will be disclosed to all! Well, I'm not old yet... I wake up every morning to an Adam song. Today, for the first time, it was NCOE. Replaying the acoustic version, where I can actually hear Adam in it, has obviously helped--previously I was unable to recall enough of it to sing it to myself. Naked Love has also eased itself into the subconscious rotation. And all day long I cannot get "walk that walk like you don't give a fuck" out of my brain--and I am not a swearer. Guess I am now! (And it will surely embarrass my grand-kids-to-be when their senile ol' granny keeps preaching it to whoever dares to walk passed her wheelchair! :  |

The unexpected song in the brain is interesting. I get this often too, not this morning though for some reason. Anyway, several months ago I read a summary of an article of brain research done with music and brain activity. In the study, certain songs elicited a response in the brain that was correlated to the subsequent popularity of the song. Even music the listener said they did not like would elicit the brain response.
I probably should not even be mentioning this since I do not have a reference. And the details are sketchy. Has anyone else ever heard of this research? When I read it I wondered if it was something that could be used to predict success of a single. Instead of twitter polls..ha.

I was just coming here to post that, your quicker. "BRAND NEW SONG"  ???  It is a new song. I don't find that revealing at all. But, has RCA Promo tweeted the acoustic versions of Trespassing and Cuckoo before? Plus, Shoshanna retweeted the Bruno tweet. Ya, I'd say it is looking like NCOE is the next single. I am OK with that as long as 1) It makes Top 10 on CHR quickly and 2) We get Cuckoo or Trespassing as single #3  |

Funny you should say that because I've had the same experience since the snippets came out. I usually run through them once or so when I am on the treadmill. The interesting thing is that my 3rd favorite song is Naked Love... and I will not get out of my head. I actually didn't like the song much when I first heard it. My first 2 are Cuckoo and Trespassing which are FABULOUS when I am on treadmill hamster mode - these do not stick as easily, however this may be due to NL being on repeat. For me too Naked Love is the most earwormy Adam song I've experienced. I unconsciously find myself singing it doing chores. |

Hi guys. Two OT computer questions.
A few weeks ago, when itunes updates popped up I clicked install. It goes through the motions, but then I get an error message saying the installation failed. Any ideas?
All of a sudden when my husband sends me e-mails with pictures, they show up starting with a cid - example - cid:1.3045993100@web181713.mail.ne1.yahoo.com. I don't see any pictures and can't do anything with the link. He receives them from other people just fine, but when he forwards them to me this is what happens. The link also does not appear as an attachment, even if he sends it that way. Any ideas? Is it on his end or my end?
Thanks for any thoughts or info.
