Well - Adam took a Pink-written song and made it his own and won a Grammy nomination for it. It became his and I see no problem with Adam singing a song written by someone else if he makes it his own like he did with WWFM and it achieves the success that WWFM did. I would say that most people identify WWFM with Adam and don't know or care that Pink wrote it. I sure don't want RCA to "risky" him right off the charts or radio or Grammy possibilities. But Pink gets paid for it every time it is played -- not Adam. That's why having a writing credit is so important. And I would not worry about RCA being too risky -- they will remain conservative. ahh...I forgot about the $$$$ part of it. Of course Adam benefits in many other ways by having a hit song which must result in $$$ coming in indirectly - sales, etc.

Yes!! And no March Madness.. phew! I was voting on VH1 and noticed for the first time that it shows who has been voting recently at the bottom. Wonder if they notice when peeps vote numerous times beyond the 20.. ??? It's always shown that. That's why it's so weird that BTIKM isn't higher because most of the names there say "I voted for Adam Lambert" whenever I am voting. Oh so much for my powers of observation.. : Guess I usually stay focused on the box with his face on it.

I've never thought Trespassing too "out of the box" for Top 40 radio. There are several songs topping the charts which don't seem to conform any set formula. I sent that "Shit Adam Stans Say" clip to my daughter in college and she TOTALLY spazed out over the Trespassing bit - "I had to google it to hear it again!!! Great song!!" (This from a die-hard hip/hop, urban station listener). My personal preference is TRESPASSING>NCOE>CUCKOO>NAKED LOVE....but whatever order the label decides to release singles, I'm be waiting patiently (not) for my fav. Well, I would think that she would spaz out over it, it does have a certain urban, funk flavor to it. I remember Kanadie asking earlier, that if Trespassing was released, wondering if it will get urban etc., stations playing it other than just mainly Pop/Rhythmetic(sp?). Would be something to consider anyway I've already got my own step show moves for the song!

Well, David Cook just confirmed his Idol appearance will be May 10 to premier a new song. So, that doesn't leave many Idol dates open.
So, April 5 no idol performing. April 12 Durbin ? May 10 David Cook.

I'm inclined to agree w/Mys*&@^#r about the release of BTIKM in December to counteract BFM, but Adam has also said they wanted to release a song that really featured the voice. Does anyone think they were thinking Grammy nom-best vocal? I take Adam's management at their word -- they wanted a song that would reintroduce Adam to his old Idol fans and that would connect with WWFM fans. Regarding the Grammys, RCA/Sony execs are driven by making money. A song released in December 2011 would be up for the Grammies in 2013 -- doubt it was even thought about. RCA has a lot invested in this album and so does Adam. They will pick the single that has the best shot. Adam says he wants a hit -- he can push creative boundaries on the album -- radio is not the place for that. JMHO YMMV

It has been the Adam fans all the time. The only two exceptions I have noticed were votes for Kelly Clarkson. I am convinced BTIKM has had the highest number of votes since it appeared on the countdown.
