They're streaming the performances too? What time?  No, I'm pretty sure they are only streaming the red carpet today, and maybe some of the interviews. Think the performances will not be available until Monday. Pretty sure they streamed the whole show last year! |

I have again a cultural question: This is Eastern time, and we have bank holiday on today, Friday, and 1st and 2nd Eastern days on Sunday and Monday (also a bank holiday). How is this in US?

Good Friday is not a federal holiday and so banks and post office are not closed. Many local governments do observe the holiday (I am a state employee and have off tomorrow). The New York Stock Exchange is closed. There is no Easter Monday in the U.S. ETA: In other words, there is no true public holiday around Easter in the United States. |

Not sure whether to hug or curse the person that posted this yt playlist link earlier, but I will say thank you. OTT This is probably a bad time to post this because everyone is so excited today about new Adam stuff, but I’ve been thinking for a while that I’d like to host a small weekend get-together for those of us in the vast wasteland of mid-America (ok, I’ll admit I’m jealous of the stans who gathered at mayumi’s and I want to have some fun, too!). So I’ve kinda randomly picked the weekend of June 22-24 to have a party, and I’m just assuming any people interested will be within driving distance of East central Illinois (although you would be welcome no matter where you call home). My house isn’t large so we may have to squeeze a little and haul out the sleeping bags if very many are interested, but my desire to meet fellow Adam stans IS huge. I’ll take further discussion of this to the members thread for privacy’s sake, but I’m hoping some of you will be interested enough to check further. FYI, I’m about 3 ½ hrs from the edge of St. Louis, 2 hrs from Indy, and 2 hrs. from Chicago & I’m in a college town! Excellent plan, laceyrose. Why should the southern chicks have all the fun? As a Chicagoan, I would love to meet other Adam stans , but unforunately I'm on vacation that weekend. But I know there are at least 10-12 others on this board from the area, so hopefully others can make it. |

I am so freakin' excited about tonight (ESP about singing TP and possibility of Scarlett and Carmit there!), and the TRACK LIST!, and the Queen hints, and the JarretSays interview, and Sex Flags... that I am nearly speechless. But not quite, lol!  @mmadamimadamm is making a twitter list for tonight! I know SusieFierce and spring2009 and @pattihum are on twitter-- but MAYUMI and 8TOINFINITY are you two tweeters? I ask, because I hope you all tell her you'll be there/get on the list (I mean, if you want to) for purely selfish reasons... When I am excited (and I will be tonight, even though I guess it's just the red carpet being streamed?) MY FINGERS SPAZZ and a twitter list is the easiest way to follow the peeps who are tweeting the deets. I am on a lunch break, and will now proceed to test the snippets for my "dancey girls" (adam) "sweet spot" (rabbit). I'll report the results later! ;D Oh, one more thing... AMEALEKSANDRA (SORRY!) I think it was you who posted the Zodiac Vid w/ Adam, Carmit, Scarlett earlier.. .thank you. I have loved that forever--it was a special original performance for their dancer friend Gabriel who had died--BUT hadn't listened to it for a long time. It just FILLS me with JOY! That's partly why I am thrilled that Carmit and Scarlett might be on stage with him tonight. The vid was 3.5 years ago. Adam has many "full circle" moments, and it seems they're always joyous ones. If you skipped this earlier, it's worth a watch/listen...you can hear Adam on and off all through it...and this version actually shows Adam at center stage, too...if you click on the top and play on utube, you can listen to it while you scroll Atop or Twitter or whatever and then just switch over to the vid when you hear Adam's solo parts... ETA: HAVE TO ADD, I ALSO LOVE THE FACT THAT THESE TWO "MATURE" MAMAS MIGHT--I HOPE--BE BACKING UP OUR BOY--THE GUY WHO KNOWS AGE IS JUST A NUMBER! |
