I know nothing about dance/club songs. However, I am puzzled by people saying it is slow. I read somewhere that the typical club beat is about 131-132 beats per minute. If you count the beat in Aftermath it comes out right at 132 beats. Seems engineered for the club beat. As to length, I had the impression that club mixes tended to be longer than radio, to keep them all dancin'. Ah, but what do I know? ETA: Ce Lo's F you is exactly the same beats per minute. I'm confused by the comments about the slow beat too because it sounds exactly like the beat of the current dance music I have downloaded. I am picturing it blaring in the backyard during our summer pool parties! You know what song is slow? Tik Tok is slow!

I'm reading though the thread with dancy Aftermath playing in the background. And I like it, I really do. Its absolutely perfect for the Trevor project and a perfectly servicable current dance song. However, I'm thinking that Adam <PLEASE> needs a couple really "hooky" songs for Adam #2, b/c he didn't seem to gravitate to them much in Adam #1. Aftermath has proven to be astonishingly versitile in Adam's hands, but earwormy its not IMO. Forgive me, but I almost hope he hangs a bit w/ Ke$ha during the writing process. That girl CANNOT sing or perform live, but damn she writes catchy tunes. Idiotic. But insanely catchy. I want a little of that to rub off on Adam. [turns, and presents ass for kicking by other forum members] No kicking. I agree with you.

I am not a particular Michael Buble fan, but I heard "Haven't Met You Yet" playing one time in a store, and It's still in my head. Not a crazy wild powerhouse song by any means but it became an instant earworm for me - I love it. Wasn't surprised to see it Grammy nominated. Same with WWFM - go around singing "just don't give up on me - I'm working it out" - also IIHY - "if I had you, life would be a party, it'd be ecstasy"- earworms. Love the voice - love the beat in this remix - gets me moving.8-) I love this remix and the love, love, love,is going through my head for the last 6 hours..See I can't stop with the love.. Hope I can sleep

Where did everybody go? All flailed out? I just got home, grandchildren time, something different, Burger King not McDonald's, yeah! I have listened to the remix only 4 times, have been gone most of the day. This is really my favorite remix of all his remixes and I think I actually like this equal to the acoustic, the FYE version I usually skip on the CD. I am not sure why, but, one reason I know for sure is Allison on the CD makes me cringe. I thought she was okay at the Nokia Club, but, to be honest I did not listen to her whole set, I was with my son and he really was not into her either so we went outside and visited until Adam. On the remix I was excited to not hear her screaming so loudly in the background. Just me.

When hooks were mentioned earlier, I immediately thought of WWFM. That song got stuck in my head right away.
After listening to the new remix more than a few times, it is totally stuck in my mind. I didn't like the beginning the first time I heard it but now I love it. I think the first time I kept comparing it to the other versions. We usually like familiar things the best! Now I can listen to the remix with out the comparisons in my head first.

However, I did notice that the prhrasing and the melody were not exactly the same. FYE Aftermath was not one of my favorites. The first time I heard him sing Aftermath at Wilke-Barre complety changed it for me. Acoustic Aftermath just blows me away. So remix Aftermath had a big hill to climb. I love the vocals on the Remix. I like the song, but it is too long. I want to hear a radio edit in the 3 minute range. I think a radio edit at three minutes would be just absolutey perfect.

Know what's really stuck in my head is that "one day, one day, one day" over and over again. Have been listening to it on loop almost all day, went and laid down, but had to get up and hear this again, that one day loop is completely stuck in my head, and get it out, love it!

I love the 1:05 mark. Might be my favorite part of the whole song!
ETA: BTW, is there a link to the song on page one or just the interviews?
