I like the dance mix. I don't love it. First time I listened I was a bit put off by the key changes being so used to the other melody version, but in the end is the doof doof beat that always does me in on those things... But then I rarely love dance mixes of songs that weren't made as dance songs in the first place.
All things being Adam though, I hope it sells boatloads for Trevor!

Not sure where to put this post --- daily, masterclass, Idol. Oh well, tell me to move it if it is in the wrong place. I don't understand why I am so defensive and pissed when folks compare other singers/Idol contestants to Adam. I mean, I know that someone else succeeding will not take anything away from Adam. I know that there is not gonna be an Adam version 2.011 to replace him. I know that Adam is not just the celebrity pop star du jour. I know that he has an extraordinary voice and talent. Just listened to the audition again, and remember first hearing it. I was kinda watching Idol for some mindless entertainment, but not paying enough attention to get too creeped out by the terrible presentations/vocals. Adam's segment started and I heard him say he had been doing theater since he was a kid. Mmm, okay, so have lots of folks. Doesn't mean he is any good. In the audition room Paula says he was in the cast of Wicked. Okay, now that is interesting. Sounds like a professional production if he was in it for a year and a half. Maybe this guy CAN sing and dance. He's got my attention. I don't have to cover my ears and look away from the TV screen. Bohemian Rhapsody --- oh, god, no. This could be BAD! Don't go there. Then, he opens his mouth and sings "Mama" and my head literally snaps up and my body leans forward. WTF??? As he continues I think my eyes widened and my mouth fell open. DAYUMMMM!!! What a beautiful voice, so nuanced, so controlled. When Paula says "I think you are a really good singer" my inner voice responds, "Ya THINK??? That's the understatement of the year!" Yup, folks, he had me at "Mama." Couldn't wait to hear more. I knew what he just sang was not a fluke. It was the real deal. Now, two years further down the rabbit hole, I can honestly say I haven't heard any other singer whose voice I loved as much, who could do so many things with that instrument. Setting aside the showmanship, the glam, the gorgeous, sexy looks, even the personality, I would still be entranced by the voice alone. But, to have that coupled with everything else? Truly one of a kind.Nope, no one can compare. No one can replace that. No one is a threat. I think I get defensive and pissed because people cannot recognize that what Adam does with his voice and his presence is so beyond others out there. By comparing him to clearly lesser artists (who may be very good in their own right), they are diminishing what Adam does. Gotta just keep repeating the mantra, "Their loss, their loss." So glad that Adam's voice, his instincts, and his generous spirit are getting so much attention today with Aftermath. I wrote a couple of days ago that I would be visiting my parents Thursday night and wasn't sure how I could watch his Idol performance. Well, Thursday night has turned into a major family reunion, so there is no way to ignore all those loved ones who have come to see me in order to watch Adam. Sigh. But, I will be marveling with you all in spirit. cassie you always, ALWAYS express better than i could imagine my feelings for him. THANK YOU My feelings exactly! Do not care one whit about AI anymore, or about any other singers. I can enjoy a few current songs, but for me, NO ONE compares to Adam.

Woo! Finally made it all the way through today's thread! Love that the voice is front and centre on the remix! I love it more than any of the other remixes which I bought of course to support Adam. It gets just a little repetitive at the end, but other than that I love it!
And another lovely interview and his heart is full! So is mine!
Welcome dibaby! Everyone's exhausted from squeeing today!

I wish I could remember who it was who speculated that it might sound a bit like the Morgan Page IIHY remix, but I think that was right on. Seems like the same pacing, and the same cool, slightly trippy, dreamy, pulsing vibe. A song for the end of the night at the club, when people are a little drunk, a little touchyfeely and paired-off, and everything becomes a fuzzy blur of heat and sound and light. Love it! NoAngel, this is exactly what I was thinking, very trancey, a bit trip-hoppy. I was picturing Adam standing in the middle of a cloud bank in the upper stratosphere dressed in his white hippie shirt with his eyes closed, hands holding onto his headphones, just "vibing" to this. I think the "slow" perception might be because the vocals are more stretched or slower at the beginning of the song. It makes it work for me very well as a late, late night (early, early morning) at the club song. I'm a big fan of Adam's remixes, I run to them most days and honestly listen to them more than FYE. This isn't my very most favorite one, because there are a few places the changed melody isn't quite smooth for me, and no strong vocal hook, but I really really do love it. Jazzrocks - thanks for the Feeling Good remix youtube! Love how excited Adam was today! I interpreted his tweet "We should b less concerned w "trends" anyway... This movement is karmic & korrect!" to not be telling peeps to stop trending on twitter, but referring to the "trend" of having empowerment songs. Basically encouraging peeps to focus on the meaning of the songs, not that it's the done thing now. Also, a general twitter thing... peeps can be very raunchy on twitter, also quite poetic and surreal. I follow (and love many of the tweets) of the person quoted earlier. There is a big difference between tweeting something over the line to Adam, or using his name in a way that can be searched, and just having fun w/ your feed. Most folks are careful about this. There is also a new ring in Adam's store with an unfortunate but hilarious mispelling in the title that led to quite a few raunchy tweets tonight

The ring typo is something any chronic misspeller would be proud of!

I checked out all the jewelry stuff in the ALF store, but didn't see anything with weird spelling.... so, I dunno.
