Darn I don't recall where, but I thought touring had been tabled until 2013? Don't recall that at all. That would be way too long to wait and very unusual in the Pop world and the RCA world. What 6 months after an album drop? I'm sure he still has European promo to do. Why hire 2 back up singers even 5 months in advance? A sept tour would be 5 months. He doesn't even know what his tour looks like until he sees the album sales #s. maybe there are a number of one offs coming up?

I don't think any of these folks are 'hired' they are all as needed contractors. Ashley said as much in that podcast interview, they don't know what the next event will be until they get an email telling them to show up and in the meantime they fit in other gigs if they can. Adam probably has other TV appearances and full band promo events (the radio concerts) coming up in the next month or two, I doubt any of them are looking further ahead than that IMHO. ETA: the music director might be more constant though, or booked for a certain stretch of time / certain gigs but I'm totally guessing here.

I really try to keep up but somewhere I guess I missed what happened to Kevin. What happened? I thought he added a lot! Oh, just got an Adam alert....meet my new musical director on keys??? I think Brian said he hooked Kevin up with Adam and that it was all good. So I guess everybody is fine with the new arrangement. But I know nothing!

I have a question. Since Adam's album comes out a week before sweeps. I wonder how they'll do the T.V. performances since just about all of them, besides the morning shows, will all be going on hiatus. Will he just be hitting hard with the T.V. circuit the week of and after his album release? Or would he be hitting them all along, at least starting mid April?
Because that will be cutting it pretty close and limited with promo... I'm just wondering what will be better for his single and/or album promo.

I suspect this era of promo will be nothing like FYE

I think Adam will do NYC promo the week of sweeps while he is doing the Spring radio shows. May 21st- 25th. It works out perfectly, actually!

There are a lot of ways to set up a promotional plan -- one way is to lead with TV (timed to album drop) -- then push the music online and on radio. With a 5/15 release date, that looks like what they will do.
ETA: That pretty much forces them to have a strong radio single.

Well, considering that Brian hooked Kevin up with Adam, I'm guessing it was a thing of Kevin being the MD till Brian London was freed up, and now Brian is with Adam. When Kevin was first announced as Music Director, it seemed to be a quick thing that happened.
