So tired but so happy to witness Adam once again captivate and slay the crowd. He was FIERCE and the energy was electrifying. TRESSPASSING is so very Adam and while I was on the cuckoo train after hearing him sing it live the first time at Jezebel, the crowd's response to this song tells me this is going to be a hit. You cannot help but dance!
8toInfinity and I arrived at the venue around 3 pm and immediately saw MyS*&@^#r and SusieFierce just ahead of us. It was a pleasure to meet MyS*&@^#r for the first time.
We were told cellphones and cameras were not allowed so we gathered them and Infinity took them back to her car. We stood in line for about 3 hours but it was OK since I was able to meet and talk to many fans. I had the impression that majority of the people who were standing in line at that point were Adam fans. We could not see the red carpet as it was on the other side of the building but we could see the limos as they pulled away.
When they finally let us in, we were able to find the best seats in the balcony. We had a good and clear view of the stage.
Sauli and Raja came in first and sat on the first row right behind the "pit". Adam joined them a little later and sat right next to Sauli. They were quite chatty and gave each other back rubs. Kelly did a great a job as a host and changed outfits many times. I must confess I did not pay much attention to the different acts and presenters as I had my binoculars trained on Adam the whole time. I was actually glad when Adam left to go backstage after about 45 minutes so I can listen to the other acts and presenters.
As Susie tweeted earlier, Kelly gave Adam a glowing introduction -she was such a fangirl. When Adam came out, I think I stopped breathing. As Paula in her own unique way said on AI, "he owned the stage". I did not see anyone else, not even the backup singers. My eyes just followed his every move and nothing else mattered but that vision and that voice. People were all on their feet, clapping, stomping and dancing. Our section which were all Adam fans sang and danced along. And when the confetti started, all I can think of was, he deserves this and more. He left the stage so abruptly that it felt somehow (to me anyway) that the performance was incomplete. I guess in a way, especially for new fans, it left them wanting more. But that confetti shower was a sight to behold! It was so thick at one point that I could not see him. I gathered some of the confetti to add to my "collection". I am so down the rabbit hole and I am loving every minute of it.
Cannot think of anything more to add. Quite a long day but I would not trade it for the world.
