Urban dictionary was mentioned awhile back re the words...North Pole. Amongst the many, many definitions listed was Slang term for an erection; slang for boner.
That definiton seemed to fit his lyrics.
edit: heart is gold, body is glass ...does not need the GPS to get to where "he wants to go"!!! but ...it can turn darn cold down there pretty quick.
Right on Adam! So true! But for those who do not understand gay culture...who would ever know. As Adam has said, we can interpret his songs/lyrics to fit our own view.

I have a question guys. I was just on Amazon and Adam's TP album is listed at $13.98 for the regular album and $12.99 for the deluxe album. What does this mean? Why is the deluxe cheaper?

That one makes me crazy too! But my biggest pet peeves involve apostrophes. The confusion over "its" and "it's" is understandable, but still, all you have to remember is that "it's" stands for it is. If you write "the dog chased its tail," and you're not sure whether or not to use the apostrophe, try saying "it is" in place of "its." Clearly you're not saying, "The dog chased it is tail." So leave out the apostrophe! Worse is when people seem to think that any word which ends in "s" should have an apostrophe in front of the "s." "Fresh apple's for sale!" AARRRGH! Murly, isn't it's tail showing ownership. I thought all words showing ownership that ended in "s" were "'s". The man's tail, the apple's worm, the dog's tail. That's why it's confusing to a lot of people. We expect an apostrophe when we use a possessive. But the examples you gave are possessive nouns. Possessive pronouns don't have apostrophes. You have to think of "its" as being in the same category as "his," "her," "your," etc. His suit, her hair, your post. The word "its," with no apostrophe, is the possessive pronoun. Its tail. The word "it's" with an apostrophe is a contraction for "it is," and the apostrophe fills in for the missing "i" in "is." It's a nice day.

Oh I know nobody is critquing Adam. I just don't want anybody to expect me to have correct spelling or grammar when posting. :-/ Definitely not! I'm one of the worst offenders. A lot of the time it's deliberate (criminally guilty of excessive use of OOOOOOs EEEEEEEEs and !!!!!!!!!!!s). A lot of the time it's accidental, but I hate when it's something I truly never knew and no one ever told me, :-/ especially when there is an easy fix. ETA: That makes sense too, Gelly!! Or maybe it's along the lines of, "You don't need to draw me a picture, I get it, but I'm telling you – I can be just as cool and turn it back on you." Actually I interpreted differently. The whole lyric is: 'I don't need no GPS to show me where to go, but I can turn into the North Pole and show you what is cold' Cold can either mean frozen/heartless -- the whole 'i give haters the silent treatment/freeze them out' kind of thing or extremely cool/super awesome, so much so that people are hatin' out of jealousy. I read it as another way of saying 'get a load of this' and Adam's full of attitude moves after he sings this lyric - the head toss, leg cross, drop it like it's hot dance move suggest this meaning to me. www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=coldFor example: "have you heard Trespassing?" "that is a cold ass song, dude, it's insane!" The north pole line is a play on 'cold' but also, he's saying I can find my own way to the top of the game/world, I'm gonna embody it. Nobody needs to show me the way (no GPS is necessary ).

For me "I'll show you what it's cold means this: Actually I have to write the whole sentence " I don't need no GPS to show me where to go, but I can turn into the North pole and I'll show you what is cold" For me he means that he doesn't need a special device to understand when people don't want / like him, he says that is very simple for him to dig it when he's not wanted , when people behave in a "cold" way to him re : the music industry. The GPS thing makes me understand this like - "I don't need a GPS(=I don't take directions from anyone), and I can turn into the North Pole (=I can be a giant magnet, getting everyone under my spell + innuendo, of course ) and I'll show you what is cold (=and you'll see if the North Pole is really as cold as they tell ya. *cue crotch grab* ;D )" basically, "don't tell me what to do, 'cause I'll get all of you under my spell in no time" ;D

What happened to VH1 countdown today, please? VH1 Top 20 – April 7, 2011 - Dropoffs Adam Lambert "Better Than I Know Myself" (Peek #11) Read more: adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=811&page=1#ixzz1rNzKoeRWThis is posted on page 1 I guess it means VH1 has dropped it. I don't get it. I still voted today because it is on the vote page. I guess it may be off tomorrow. I voted more then ever this past week and listened to it on VH1. They really must do what they want. :-[ VH1 did not drop BTIKM --- and you can still vote for it BUT it did not make today's countdown -- and "dropped off" the countdown. Songs rarely return to the countdown once they drop off. It was not unexpected since it was #17 (or so) last week. --- IMO best way to support Adam right now is to request on HAC Radio. And now that BTIMK appears to have peaked on radio -- just maybe we can get the new single. With 5 weeks to album release, timing is excellent. And he just might have two Trespassing singles getting airplay at the same time.
