The backing singers a very subtle as they should be IMHO. They are there to add texture and depth to Adam's voice, and not to be heard as a distinct voice. I think the tv audio mixer did a very nice job with all the elements of the mix. Yes, the mix is excellent! Maybe Idol should hire this person!

I love Sauli's hearteyes towards the beginning. The backing singers compliment Adam's voice so well. I can't wait to hear what they sound like on other songs. Small quibble about the sound mix - they need to turn Ashley's bass waaaaaay up.

So far i am LOVING the trespassing era, and to be honest I think that his ability to perform these songs live must stem from the fact that they are his babies, he wrote them, helped arrange them, and they have meaning to him. They are in his heart. And he channels all of those emotions when he perfoms them and it is amazing!!
Funny that the only exception to this seems to be BTIKM, which I am not sure he had a big part in the production and none in the writing. Still have to wonder who made that decision for the lead single, but water under the bridge.
Bring on Tresspassing, or Cuckoo, or even NCME. He will kill all of these in live performances!!

Really loving the band. Ashley is the biggest surprise for me, she has quit the groove, and a big improvement from Tommy on bass. Given that I am totally happy with Tommy on guitar, his guitar sound on Trespassing is FIERCE!!! Isaac's drums are always tight and right in the pocket. The girls singers are long overdue. Brian on keys is going to be awesome, love the urban edge he will bring to Adam's new funk songs. Yes!! ITA

Now you know why we were flailing so hard and immediately switched to "Trespassing must be the next single!!" yeah.. I can see now and feel it too and actualy while watching this performance my brain was thinking like this.. I don't know if the live version of the other three songs can give that kind of energy. Maybe because Trespassing such an anthemic song. We saw Cuckoo live and I think NCOE will not that far from the accoustic. Few additional notes after watching many times of Trespassing videos: 1. Those long legs... OMG 2. I can hear Ashley's bass... WOWOWOW.. 3. I can help it but when Adam started walking towards the front stage it reminded me of his Black or White performance on Idol when he sang in front of Simon, Paul & Randy.
