Re: Queen with Adam Lambert performances My theory, based on the tease on the Queen website, is there is definitely something(s) planned. However, they know that the official announcement of such would trigger a flurry of media stories for the next cycle. Adam premiering the title track from his upcoming album is a BIG DEAL for Adam, and deserves its (not it's) own media cycle. After the rave reports of the NNNA performance have flooded the internet and gossip press, I think they will follow up with a Queen announcement. That puts it in the proper perspective for Adam. An exciting new artist coming out with a sick new album, and, performing as a guest with Queen. As opposed to announcing it before the NNNA, when it would be Idol runner-up to be the new frontman for Queen, and, oh, btw, he also is releasing his new album. Waiting a week for the announcement matters not to Queen, but makes an important difference for Adam. I think Roger and Brian would respect that. Factor in the Easter weekend, which, I have gathered in some countries is a major holiday with little press activity, and I predict the Queen and single announcements to happen this coming week. Crossing fingers and toes. ITA, Cassie, but I also think its possible they need to make sure every last thing is in place for ticket buying before they make the announcement. With the others, the second the announcement was made, tickets were for sale. I DO think something is happening. If not, they would have just said so by now, I think. Complete silence from Queen camp makes me think they're either finalizing a few details or waiting until the exact right time. They can't wait much longer than this week, I think though because needacoke is right, people need to make their summer plans and already, this is a big one for London. NoAngel, your essay was priceless as usuall. LMAO!!! (We've relaxed the maximum height requirement of 4'8" Bahahaha!) |

So waiting a week is nothing for them. NoAngel, thanks for a great weekend essay as always. I may not express it everytime, but I love it and love to read it every time... I especially love the "Exit Strategy" and this one: Please don't be alarmed at our enthusiasm—we mean well. If Adam picked you, chances are you're a good person, and we're happy to throw some love your way. Ohh... someone needs to tweet it to them.. In the room, there was no comparison, and I think it translates on vid. This guy from Neon Trees is really good. He's working his ass off and I love the song, but he's kind of all alone out there and can't quite drum up the overdrive. Still, as awards show performances go, it is very good. But then Adam came out and launched right into the song and it was BAM!! The energy was enormous. As I tweeted right after, like 10x that of the others. |

My guess on new single -- I think they have selected it and will announce it early this week -- probably on Tuesday -- timed to be after the holidays are over. How will it be announced? By Adam on Twitter probably at 3:00AM EST right after I go to sleep. How would I like Adam to announce it? With world "premiers" of Adam Lambert's HOT NEW TRACK on Elvis Duran's and Ryan Seacrest's Programs Tuesday morning. It could be very hard to put together this concert with the Olympics this summer and with less than overwhelming ticket sales for the first go at a UK concert, but if they do put it together, I think they will announce it and start promoting ticket sales immediately. I really doubt that it will be coordinated in any way with Adam's single announcement. The promoters and QUEEN will control the PR on this. |

 I think Sauli is irritating from Raja's overflowing movements/swinging. :  No, not at all! Sauli seemed irritated to be asked to put the glasses on. He eventually got into it though. Then, with the beach balls and dolphins he REALLY got into it! I have not may have noticed something ....??? Beach balls and dolphins...   ...Or is it my broken english? |
