I picked NCOE for the next single here too so I shouldn't be surprised.
I think Trespassing was perfect for NNN whatever the next single is. NCOE just wouldn't have been as fierce. And speaking of "fierce" I hope he can make NCOE fierce on Idol. I KNOW either Cuckoo or Trespassing would definitely have been fierce! And I think that's part of my disappointment - the live performances.
Although I do realize radio is the main thing.

 I'd like to say I'm surprised by what RCA does but alas I'm not. Instead of having more faith in Adam and releasing Trespassing/Cuckoo they once again play it safe and balk by releasing NCOE. Oh well at this point I want Adam to be successful and NCOE is a nice pop song to listen to and if I gains him a Top 10 single I guess I'm all for it. [Steps off soapbox] |

I agree, JazzRocks. I just want him to be able to kill it on Idol. He has a great musical director---I hope they can put together something huge for a big, plugged-in performance.
reihmer---it has nothing to do with RCA's faith in Adam, rather it is their faith in radio and the PDs who control what gets played. I would guess that RCA would like nothing more than to release Trespassing as a single, it is the title track, it's hooky, and it's completely Adam. But, if they are being told by PDs that song might not be added, then what is gained. Trespassing is a great song, but if nobody gets to hear it...

Can someone please tell me the LA time of the NNA awards? I don't think I will wake up, tomorrow is a very tough day for me.
Actually it's so tough that if they will announce ticket sales tomorrow for Queen, I don't think I will be on line.  |

I'm confused then, who was the guy who tweeted about how much harder the full version of NCOE hits (as compared to the snippet)? It was pretty recent. I don't have the exact quotes, but as I recall, Jordan Meehan from the EQ Music Blog/Electroqueer was raving about it on twitter when the snippets came out. (He raves about Adam a lot and loves Trespassing too.) He said he had been told not to talk about it in the initial reviews because it wasn't confirmed, but that it was one of his favorites. We are VERY lucky as Adam fans, because all the potential singles are very good!  I encourage everyone, not only the ones that aren't totally zen about NCOE, to try and send out positive energy towards the next single no matter what it may be. This is what I believe Adam would want, and what the single needs. Great times ahead! Thanks kanadie, I know I really want Cuckoo but I also haven't heard the final mix of all of the songs. So I'm happy with whatever they chose and I hope this will be the next hit song for Adam and can help selling the album ;D .. Well it better be a hit song, coz if they chose NCOE, it means ALL the PDs voted for this song to be the next single. |
