I just want Adam to get some credibility as a songwriter. If I want to listen to Bruno Mars, I'll go listen to Bruno Mars, but no one's doing music like Adam's originals quite like he does. And it's good radio friendly stuff, so I don't see the problem. Let Bruno ride the airwaves with Bruno music, let Adam ride the airwaves with Adam music.

"Love, Actually" gifs? Oh, Seoulmate, didn't think I could love you more...now this. If in fact NCOE is the next single, color me one confused stan. Why, oh why, would they not have sung that instead at the NNN awards?????? I have reluctantly concluded that there was some logic behind releasing BTIKM as WWFM 2.0 to keep his name out there (and to counteract the Album That Shall Not be Named) while the Queen stuff and the Bruno thing were brewing but unannounceable, but this? Baffled. On a completely personal, selfish level, I DNW the next single to be Adam Does Bruno Mars. I have pretty much had it with them trying to come up with new ways to make the scary gay guy not so scary. But if that's what they truly believe is Adam's ticket to the top 10, then whatever the fuck. Pretty tired of the tease, I'll admit it. Does it show? It's seems simple to me. The decision wasn't made when Adam had to choose what to perform on NNN. The label controls what the single is but has nothing to do with Adam's performance on NNN which would be under the control of Adam and his management. Adam chose to perform Trespassing because it suited the event best. He already said the Idol performance would be "whatever the next single is" so that makes more sense for single promo anyway as the song will have had time to get going on radio. |

I would like to make a suggestion....
While many of us aren't thrilled with NCOE for the second single, I think it would be a disservice to Adam to diss it on Twitter and piss off the Bruno fans. We are hoping for their help to get this song up the charts. The only one we would be hurting is Adam. None of us know what Adam wanted for the next single. And it is unfair to him for people to be saying that he wanted something else. We just don't know. Bottom line, I want a single Z100 will play. I adore Trespassing, but if CHR stations are telling the label it doesn't "fit" then I would rather they go with something else. BTIKM was basically a flop. Adam can't afford to have another single rejected by the big markets. If stations like Z100 are telling RCA that NCOE is the single they want, it would be stupid to go with anything else. Obviously, I am speculating here. But radio play has to be the label's goal at this point in time. Adam needs a song in Z100's power rotation. This will sell the album and insure that Adam gets more singles off this album. At least one UK person (can't remember who) heard the final mix of NCOE and seemed to think it was the biggest hit. eta: I like NCOE a lot. And, when you bring Bruno into the studio for the recording, it basically tells me label has given him some kind of guarantee. I am fine with it.[/b] Re the bolded part....I don't really know that is true...Gaga is/was arguably a bigger 'star' than Bruno, AND she was in the studio when Adam recorded Fever and we all know how that went...so in the studio is no guarantee that the song will be even a single, let alone bring over members of another fandom.....sorry...just sayin.... |

reihmer---it has nothing to do with RCA's faith in Adam, rather it is their faith in radio and the PDs who control what gets played. I would guess that RCA would like nothing more than to release Trespassing as a single, it is the title track, it's hooky, and it's completely Adam. But, if they are being told by PDs that song might not be added, then what is gained. Trespassing is a great song, but if nobody gets to hear it... Thanks bullsfan. I'm seriously starting to think the only way to get PD's to release an Adam song is to blackmail them.  |

*sighs* Well I already resigned myself for NCOE being the next single. When the snippets came out I pretty much hated the song, and thought that I'll never like it. But after hearing him do it acoustic, then revisiting the snippet, I actually like it now. It's still my least favorite, but its alright. And with the Brink fans being all sweet over it, surely doesn't hurt.  I'm like whatever will be, will be. As long as he gets a hit, its fine with me. Just disappointed a little, because I think now that Naked love might never be a single, and it sounds like a perfect summer single too. And I'm one if those bad fans that don't really care about Adam having a writing on the song, I just want him to have great success... I am already in the level of "acceptance" that Naked Love will never be a single. So.. I'm fine with it.. LOL |

We all want the same things for Adam - Success & Happiness. How he gets it is where we differ. :D Lol. Well all the songs are good (even though I like some more then others :  so whatever they pick is fine by me. The way I figure it, is that if one of his co-writes isn't released as a single now, it will be released eventually, since he co wrote almost all the songs pm the album. What I want is just for him to have a lot of hit singles, so it'll sell the album, and he'll get more money that way anyway. |
