Adam is certainly going all out in courting the radio stations this go round. All these radio sponsored concerts coming up.... did someone say those are unpaid gigs? What does that mean, actually? That they don't pay Adam or anyone anything? Or they pay expenses only? It has to be pricey to rehearse a band, stage a set, fly the band, support personnel and gear to the city, put them up, pay their expenses, and then, of course, pay their salary. Adam may be fine with getting no $$$, thinking it will pay off in increased sales of his music and future concerts, but, the band has no such incentive. Do the radio stations pay for all that other stuff, or does the record label, or does Adam? The Moscow gigs will pay for the free radio shows! So will Japan. The purpose of the radio shows is to bribe them to play his single. Do the radio gigs pay anything towards expenses? Nothing? Anybody know? (oh lord, I'm spamming...sorry)

Ollie worked on NCOE after Bruno gave it to Adam, but before Dr Luke was added. Oh, if radio doesn't play the crap out of this song, Imma cut a bitch! Adam writes "most" of the songs on the album. He is proud of that fact and talks about it everywhere. So, there are 3-4 songs out of 16 that he did not write. TWO of those are his first singles. How do you think he feels about it? This is the case where I choose not to believe his enthusiasm. It does not compute on any level. not to me. makes me feel sad for him... and I can't help it... has nothing to do with my own perception of the songs... Probably the same way that Kelly Clarkson feels, and lots of other artists, who don't get the singles they co-wrote on released to radio. Of course, Kelly has now sold about 4 million copies(just in the US) of her first two singles and her album (that has been out for five months) just sold 33,000 copies this past week and is on its way to being platinum! I doubt she is crying in a corner about the fact that most of her big hits haven't been co-writes, but those songs written by others have kept her relevant and on the Worldwide charts for a DECADE now! Kelly Clarkson is just fine and I'm sure Adam can learn to live with the same situation that many successful artists over the years have had to live with. Adam made five million dollars in 2011, he is probably okay with that!

Gah, was just talking on twitter about David Guetta, and listening to some tracks of his. Gah his songs are so good, and they really showcase the singers voice. I'm wondering when or if Adam will ever work with him, or if the cards are even on the table. I remember David saying that Adam was one of the artists that he wanted to work with. You may get your wish because Adam just started following him TODAY! Oh yeah he did!! Ha ha I was wondering why he was subconsciously on my mind, lmao.

I like, no Love, NCOE - and the others, too. Guess I'm just easy to please. I really think NCOE will work well on the radio. Went back tonight and watched/listened to "a change is gonna come" - both the Zodiac and AI versions. You just gotta believe that the time is right, the time is now!!! He's going to do it.

mys*&@^#r, didn't Adam do the KISS LA thing one year and they still never added IIHY? Maybe I'm wrong. Great about all the radio concerts though. No, they didn't, but they spun WWFM while they were doing pre-concert publicity. (They didn't before then, though it was added right away.) The radio concerts are what I'm feeling most reassured about. My biggest dread with NCOE has been that radio would push them into that decision and end up balking and not spinning. I hope to hell that will not happen and they'll spin like crazy. If that's the case, I'll be all over it. No, NCOE is not my favorite, but it's stuck in my head A LOT and I truly like the song very much. I might end up loving it when I hear full version and he performs it live. There is someone I follow on twitter who is convinced that going with NCOE is throwing down the gauntlet with radio. If they cop out on this, we know it's personal. I believe this. I'm so glad that once the album is released, people will be able to download everything. I really do hope this is the last time he has to sublimate his own creative work as a means to and end. And whoever said upthread that Bruno's career started with collaborations had a great point. Thank you. Okay, I'm done. From here on in, I will stan this song like a bitch. (But if radio fucks him over again, I fear for my actions ...) Congrats, maitospf!!!!

Maybe it is no accident that the first we heard was that twitter from an interview today where Adam said NCOE was the single because it got the best response from radio. People were wondering about that being leaked before his own announcement but if he is saying that in interviews then he really is putting the ball in radio's court. Here it is the single YOU wanted now if they don't play it what excuse will they give? ETA: Oh yeah, congratulations maitospf!!

Adam made five million dollars in 2011, he is probably okay with that! Wow. If he didn't care, why do you think he's been busting his ass and laying his career on the line wanting to co-write and collaborate all this time? He could have kicked back and done nothing but breeze in and sing the hell out of any song if that was the case and would have released his album last spring. He could have sung a bunch of factory hits and had two albums by now and a ton of money from touring. He just said today it wasn't about the money. He has structured this entire album as autobiographical. He's said it repeatedly. It is his heart and soul. It is his baby. Of course there are pop stars that can make bazillions by not singing their own songs (Britney? Rihanna?) But Adam has made it very clear that is not his aspiration. He takes his songwriting very seriously and has worked his ass off for more than a year to create this album from his core. He has fought for this and risked everything. Yes, I most definitely think he cares that HIS songs are recognized.
