jonalisblog.com/2012/04/12/adam-lambert-never-close-our-eyes-single-premiere/Adam Lambert: ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ Single Premiere! Check out the premiere of Adam Lambert‘s brand-new track “Never Close Our Eyes!” The track will serve as the second official single off his sophomore album, Trespassing, due out May 15th! The upbeat new single was co-written and produced by none other than Bruno Mars and master hit-maker Dr. Luke and should serve as the proper track to rule the airwaves for Adam. “Never Close Our Eyes” lets Adam‘s powerhouse vocals shine through the massive pop melody and crisp production. It’s been crafted to perfection. What do you guys think? This one needs to be reported on AO for same reason as earlier. Somebody?... >:( >:( >:( Done with a question though because I thought this guy was at his listening party in NY.

No one will have sales like Adele. I'd be surprised if that happens again in this decade!! But record of the year and even better album of the year, I can see happening! I don't think Adele will ever have sales like Adele again. ;D I definitely want Adam back in the Grammy mix again with Trespassing. BTW-If RCA felt they had to put out a single at the bad time of year for spins to combat the confusion of the bastard album being called his new music - grrr- I'm glad it was BTIKM. It got Adam back in the artist spotlight again without sacrificing NCOE or Cuckoo or Trespassing. He made the rounds of the radio stations and got those good relationships going again. BTIKM didn't do badly at radio HAC either. Now he is getting massive good reviews at the right time, closer to release. NCOE will be perfect for his Idol performance and album release. Maybe there was a method to their madness after all. 8-)

Curious about this, in general. For any artist, say Adele even, who has had a phenomenal amount of album sales and single sales, and reaches say Gold with a single, but then people "complete their album" why does that not affect the certifications? And why do the official sales numbers not change? For instance, I am sure some of the people who bought WWFM eventually "completed" their album. So why do the sales numbers for the single not go down when it is converted to an album sale? Also, when i-tunes asks, "do you want to comlete this album" if you say no and DL the whole album, then I am assuming the original single sale counts. The pre-sale is for a month, right? Not just for a week. Let me get this straight. There is no way to get around the loss of a single sale. It will either be now (if you pre-order the album) or later when you complete the album, right? I was planning on DLing NCOE Tuesday and waiting to pre-order the album. I want the single to count for first week sales whether it's meaningful or not. :D Someone please tell me if I'm misunderstanding this. Btw - I wonder if RCA is feeling embarrassed reading all these great reviews for NCOE that say BTIKM was an odd choice for a first single and that's why it didn't do well. Of course I KNOW they're not but I wish they would be a little red-faced. :-[ If you download the single the first week it is available it will count as the single sale. If you then preorder the album in the second week the pre-order will count with the 1st week of album sales and the single sales will be subtracted with the second week of single sales. Get it? If all you are trying to do is boost 1st week sales for both the single and the album that will do it. Sure you loose a second week single sale but that's not going to matter in the long run. However my point from the beginning has been that 1st week single sales are not going to be huge enough to make any kind of press no matter how you slice it so it really doesn't matter. Mys*&@^#r's point about trying to get the song into the top 10 on iTunes so that it hits the front page is valid but without a big performance on release day even if we get it there it's not likely to stay long.

I just hope that one day Adam is able to sell like her (I know it's probably a long-shot but I guy can dream can't he) Subo and Adele were anomolies. Adele is very talented. Subo, well she is Subo. Her second album didn't do as well. Her Christmas album did okay. There is a young overweight 17 year old kid that blew everybody away with his voice on Britain's got talent, Subo's home. I could see Simon Cowell smacking his lips. I want Adam to have Adele sales, but despite his talent, and the greatness of his albums, he has to overcome the gay thing. It unfortunately, has held him back, and will hold him back. It will be a slow tortuous climb for him to reach iconic status. America is the biggest music market and is homophobic..but,Adam is still an International star and doesn't face the same kind of discrimination in European countries.

I wonder about the "level of assistance." Feel sorry for these co-writers who generally don't get mentioned. Sort of like WWMF. It was only co-written by Pink. People tended to ignore the writers and just called it Pink-written.
