I have pretty much zero interest in Idol, but I felt soooo happy to see Adam on tv tonight and stupidly, ridiculously happy to see Tommy and Isaac on stage with Adam and Monte. Awww...yay! <3<3<3 :D :D :D
I do think Adam seemed very keyed up, very excited and maybe a little nervous, but he's always great. Have to rewatch the performance but right now just basking in the love love love...
Also, really love the song as an empowerment anthem, love that Adam co-wrote it, love the lyrics

I think that it is not that just that we really love Adam and are super invested in him that causes us to be so sensitive to any possible flaw in anything he does, real or imagined. it is in my opinion possibly the fact that some are just so used to the hate thrown at him from within the Idol world on a daily basis that perfection is craved at every step to give no purchase to the hate. The vast majority of the 24 million people who just watched him on Idol have no understanding of this and just saw a gorgeous sexy man with an incredible voice sing a lovely song with bongo drums and a cool band.
Having said all that, I thought he was PERFECT......of course, I am three martinis down

LOL.. I haven't got a chance to come and post in here.. want to say I agree with you. This is the first time Steven and J Lo hear Adam's voice live. I think he couldn't believe of that VOICE. Adam's singing so smoothly between registers in one song.. from his lower up to his high register. PLUS... PLUS I bet Steven also couldn't believe that Adam is so STUNNINGHLY GEORGOUS .. VERY.. VERY HANDSOM and VERY TALL... ;D Off course J Lo and Steven won't give a standing ovation for Adam, they're bigger star than Adam :  Hahahahaaa, Steven IS TINY.....
