Question: Do you think that his raspiness voice from last night due to a bit of sinus problem? Sometimes you can hear it when he talks but not when he sings, but last night it was vice versa. I don't think you can just say ok i'm going to sing a bit raspsy in my voice right? Anyway, my dh heard him sing Aftermath the first time, (unlike me all GNT versions) and he said afterward that was fantasic! So I guess that's all matter for those who were first time listerners and thought he was great and that made me happy. To me, it sounded intentional. To give it a more rockier edge (hence the whole band) but still being acoustic. I'm still several pages behind, but I wanted to comment on this. I do think a singer of Adam's caliber can "husky" his or her voice up when they choose too. Some have that natural rasp. I never realized I was attracted to it. However, I noticed that Katy Perry has a rougher edge to her voice on "One of the Boys," as compared to "Teenage Dream." And for some reason, I don't get sick of the songs from OOTB like I do with TD. I've been ruminating a lot about why I can listen to Pink songs over and over but not get bored with them (and Kelly Clarkson too), but California Gurls and Teenage Dream drove me crazy after a few listens. Yet I do still like I Kissed a Girl and Hot and Cold despite hearing them a gajillion times. My conclusion was that she has more of an edge to her voice on the latter songs (and I think there is also an emotionality I'm not getting too). With Adam, of course I like him any which way.

OT, but for those of you who live in California, how is the weather? I caught the end of a news brief earlier today on the horrible times Japan is going through with the tsunami/earthquake and the newscaster said the same could be heading to the West Coast (he was in San Francisco). Are there any updates? Want to know that you guys are safe!
