Heathcliff -- This just strikes me as a newsperson being "too cool for school" towards another idol alumni -- I noticed it but wouldn't worry too much about it. People who watch Kimmel will love Adam, and that's what counts. New people will see him live--and the fact that the outdoor concert keeps needing to be expanded will be noticed by people that matter.
Keep breathing....listen to some snippets!

do we know how many tickets were sold? They are free, but normal is 1,000. But the outdoor shows don't usually sell out (except for Gaga) Saw on tweeter: @ melirose89I made a screencap of Gaga's audience from the You & I Kimmel performance from helicopter view looks like 5-8K ppl

I don't know if this is the right place but they expanded Jimmy Kimmel again if anyone still wants a ticket. AdisaM thanks for the info! I forwarded to a friend from work who missed out the first time around. She just texted me saying she got them! She knew about Adam from idol but hadn't heard about him since. I let her hear some snippets and pointed her to a vid from NNN performance. She came back and said "wow, he is an incredible live performer!!!" She had been mentioning wanting to go more live performances in general, so I had told her about Kimmel. Well she had originally thought she had gottened them when she signed up and when we checked again it was already sold out. Thanks again! usagi, I have been curious about what kind of tickets the new ones are everytime they expand. Can you ask her if they are Priority, General, or Standby? Thanks!

i'm guessing more than 1500-2000 [snorts] Jimmy doing pennance for the forced cancellation after the AMA's?? I give the man credit for stating upfront that he protested the cancellation, but Imma also gonna peevishly snark that he waited a reeeeeeeeally long time to rebook. #yupbeingpettyforstuffthatshouldbewaterunderthebridge I don't think it was up to Kimmel for when he rebooked. Adam just did the AMAs in Nov. That was the first hint that ABC had rescinded. Now the album is coming up. I have no problem or hard feelings for Kimmel. If there was an ABC ban (and there was) there wouldn't be a damn thing he could do about it.

That would be bigger than what all levels of The Nokia hold. It is definitely more than 2,000 though. They closed the street behind the audience for Gaga. They won't do that for Adam....... yet! Maybe next year!

Speaking of Adam being "new" to some people, yesterday I took the Sirius Hits 1 survey where you listen to music and rate it. After the music survey, there was an optional 10 questions (why you like the station, what you don't like, etc) There was a question: who is your favorite new artist? I couldn't resist and answered ADAM LAMBERT. I figured that to most listeners of POP radio he is "new".
