This is all so interesting to me. Because wasn't San Francisco really resistant during the FYE era? And now they are the first to add. It makes me wonder what changed. And I love how there are stations that just support Adam right off the bat (like that Alice station); they played BTIKM and now they are already playing NCOE. And then there is Chicago where he is a part of their huge radio concert, just weeks away, and they haven't given him a spin (of anything).
Radio is such a mystery to me. The inconsistency is truly bizarre.
eta---and i feel stupid, that San Fran station is Alice? Anyway, I love their support!

It's a little early for angsting about NCOE! It doesn't even have an add date yet! You can't compare Adam to Kelly or any other idol. He is an outlier and his path will be different than the others. There is so much to be happy about - new songs, Queen and new performances. I refuse to worry about something I can't control.

No angst yet  I feel really confident about the song. I am just a frustrated Chicago Adam fan, lol. I was hoping the Fantabuloso concert would be something of a breakthrough. And, maybe it still will be. But I am a little surprised they aren't even giving the song a couple test spins yet. |

I really need an add date for NCOE. Kelly's new single will be dropping right around the same time. I am interested to see how RCA handles this. I guess as long as they put a couple weeks between---because Kelly's gonna open with about 50 adds. (that's what a smash hit gets you) Well Kelly is still #1 on the mediabase chart and only -27 spins wherease Adams has -474 spins AND SHE 'F N' ONE ADD TODAY... WHat is RCA going to do...nothing 'cause Kelly is getting the adds first so it seems. yeah yeah yeah I know shes' a proven superstar but her single hasn't taken that much of a drop therefore, RCA shouldn't even comtemplate releasing Darkside until NCOE has some speed. IMO! >:( RCA is going to do exactly what they need to do. They can't sacrifice one artist for another. They aren't going to hold Kelly's release back so that Adam can have it all to himself. (he wouldn't, even if they held Kelly back) Adam isn't in competition with Kelly. It's not like there is only one artist who gets all the adds every week. Adds are spread out among 50 or so artists every week. Kris' single is struggling. Should they wait on Adam's song and video because TVOL hasn't taken off yet? Big record labels have many artists that they are launching at the same time. Did you expect a major label like RCA to stop everything and just concentrate on Adam? Why would they do that? They didn't do it for Pink, Britney, Usher, Alicia Keys, etc. The way major record labels exist is by having several artists at once charting and selling in every genre all over the world. RCA was around a long time before they signed Adam Lambert, and they plan on being around for many years after his music career is over. |
