Actually, RCA sort of fascinates and amuses me... kinda like, oh, I dunno... kind of like a Salvador Dali painting or something. LOL Too funny! BTW, I like Salvador Dali paintings a lot--although he was really weird-- sort of like RCA of course!

I don't know why the Rolling Stone review used the word strident.. It means shrill and grating.. Are there different meanings that are positive for strident. Weird use in a complimentary article. I don't get it. [laughs] Strident doesn't have to mean shrill and grating! It just means prominent, in an attention-getting way. "The general's strident voice could be heard across the battlefield"So the RS review line: As for Lambert: The magnificence of his strident vocals defies all formula and precepts, mathematical and otherwise. is a GOOD thing !! :D OK thanks.. makes more sense now.

It's pretty obvious the reviewer misused the word strident, using it in the sense of-- aggressive, powerful, impossible to ignore.
I, for one, am going to take it as the compliment it was undoubtedly intended to be.

Could anyone please give me a Youtube link to NCOE - one that will count for Adam. I know there are some on here, but have searched all over this board for one and can't find it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NxKoqnxCvs

;D LOLOLOL... LindaG23, I tried to save that teeny-weeny itsy-bitsy gif, but photobucket wouldn't even recognize it!!! When I uploaded it, it was the same size as the original. I confess, I altered the size by adding height and width dimensions inside the image brackets. It's quick and dirty but not amenable to uploading since I didn't change the actual gif. I will work on that. :-[
