If I remember correctly, they loved BTIKM too. But I am not remembering a star rating. :-/

Hmmm, aol is on Joseph Llanes' client list. Since Adam is being interviewed by them tomorrow, might that be what the photoshoot is for?

Why would the single come out after the album, strange !!!!!!!. Are they still banking on BTIKM still being played. This is not making sense RCA. The single is already out. It's on i-Tunes and radio has it. They can play it as soon as they want. The impact date is not the same as a song coming out. That being said, I am also confused by why it is such a late date. RCA does everything differently with Adam. ??? Stations are picking it up, new ones everyday. Canada seems especially enthusiastic  Looking at the impact dates for other songs on radio between now and the 29th, I'm wondering if the number of potential big hits impacting and sucking up adds is part of the reason. Maybe they wanted to make sure NCOE a) has time to build on radio, b) didn't get lost in the shuffle of other songs adding and climbing quickly, c) would extend the sales on the album to the second week. www.allaccess.com/top40-mainstream/future-releasesThis week: Titanium (Guetta f/ Sia) - already pretty high up in the charts before adds, got more Payphone (Maroon 5 / f. The problem with some picking up now and playing, they move on and then new stations pick up and move on. that's what happened with WWFM, so as a result WWFM didn't peak as high as it could have, and stayed there.

The Rolling Stone review was great and I think it answers whatever questions some might've had about whether they had "turned" on Adam. They didn't. They just weren't thrilled with some of his music before.
Radio doesn't have to wait for the ADD date to play the song so the add date is a formality if RCA has already set up promo to get it played.
Adam performing the song on AI, as well as the other shows he's likely lined to up perform on will more than make up for any radio play he might be missing at the time his album is released.
NCOE made it pretty high up the itunes overall chart (top 40 at least I'm pretty sure) without one spin on radio, without one bit of "song specific" promo so him performing on television to people who don't follow him like we do is going to more than likely send that song soaring up the charts.
I can't wait for this album to drop so we can get our flail on \o/

Isn't that because little stations didn't add WWFM for a long time? the very stations that added BTIKM and provided most of the spins outside of San Fran? We're only talking a few weeks here before the impact date, not a months and months wait. |
