Off topic from tonight's discussions, but I was just listening again to the Kickin In snippet. In the repeated lines, something like "You can feel it kickin in" does anyone else hear, "The tequila's kickin in"? LOL, I think the shot glass lyrics in the lines just before are messing with my hearing.

Maybe RCA is thinking that with the add date close to the release date of his NCOE music video would help pushing the song up. Didn't Adam say that he will be filming the music video in a couple of weeks, and then it would take another week to get it finalized. His appearing on Idol around May 17 ( we hope ) will help push his single & album sales and then with his music video and add date impact come in will keep the song stays longer in the chart.

Adam when he was first on Regis and Kelly Adam's performance on that show was amazing. If you didn't find it when you watched the interview, here it is. Also, Kelly gave him a few more hugs and seemed in awe. |

I keep looking at those Fault pictures & while they're really beautiful in a strange artsy sort of way, there's something wrong with the perspective. I can't describe it. Clothes are great & his eyes are gorgeous, but the pictures look more like "fashion art" than actual representations of Adam. (He looks super skinny so I'm sure he was happy about that part!) And I'll definitely right-click save all of them - especially the see-through shirt. Maybe someone can photoshop the jacket off??? ??? Ginger, they are MEANT to be fashion art and beautiful in a "strange, artsy sort of way." Like a Vogue spread. Adam is so beautiful he is a perfect model for this. And I, too, would love to see Adam in the see thru shirt... 8-) You are so right bb - Adam is a perfect model for this type of photography. Now why doesn't Vogue do a shoot with him too? Have they ever done a male photo spread or is it all female? Have to confess I only read Vogue at the beauty salon so don't have alot of history there! |

Hmm, not worried about adds date. They are going for the long term and I think betting on the album promo (where he will be singing NCOE) to drive momentum for the song. They have been doing album promo since January, so banking on reviews and (I'm betting) media saturation to do a two-tier job. It's not about single driving album, but album driving single. Not worried about RS review. I went through about 14 pages of online reviews and didn't see ONE review any higher than 4 and they give fractions between two and three and three and four. Four is the absolute highest I saw. RITD got 3 and a about a 1/3. We Found Love got two stars and was panned. LOL. In all though, I can't argue with them. Though it caught on, I thought WFL was painfully stupid for the first 200 listens. That blue jacket, cut of those pants and the sheer/patterned shirt are TO DIE!!!!  And the I Wanna Lose My Mind manip/graphic is perfection!!! ETA: And I want to mention again, because everyone keeps fixated on the AI date AS IF IT'S THE ONLY TV PROMO HE WILL HAVE ... IT IS NOT!!! AI is only ONE of his opportunities. There will be MANY. A BUTTLOAD, I venture to say. He will have a LOT of media and promotional appearances in addition to American Idol. |
