So true about Rolling Stone. I just looked through the first 30 pages of single reviews. It looks like all the big Pop hits of 2011 and the ones currently received 3 stars.
They seem to love Radiohead and some bands that are on the outer edge of music.

Cassie, this is for you: Linda Laddenþ@4evrmomof4Reply Retweet Favorite · Open "Whataya Want From Me" by Adam Lambert in ASL American Sign Language Min...: youtu.be/q9V7CLgEt0Y via @youtube@adamlambert Cool. this guy did a pretty good job of translation. He conveyed the concept of the lyrics accurately in ASL. For example, "I'm working it out" does not mean the singer is working, as in doing a job. And they are not going "out" anywhere. It's an English phrase meaning the singer is in the process of analyzing his feelings and goals, and trying to make sense of the situation in order to proceed. That is the concept that must be conveyed in another language, not the words "work" or "out." "I won't let you down" doesn't mean "I won't drop you on the floor" but rather, "I won't disappoint you." An effective translation captures the meaning of the lyrics in the way that they would be expressed in the other language, using that language's idioms and ways of speaking naturally. Like what Zinnia and Mia do with Sauli's blogs, rather than how google translate mangles them. Finding ways to convey the original intent of lyrics in another language is challenging, sometimes frustrating, but ultimately a lot of fun to try and do. If Adam wants any of his songs translated into ASL I would be happy to oblige. ;D ;D ;D

popcrush.com/adam-lambert-cover-instinct-gay-fanbase/ADAM LAMBERT COVERS INSTINCT, PONDERS GAY FANBASEby: Amy Sciarretto 12 minutes ago Adam Lambert covers Instinct, looking as faboo as ever. He really does have a great head o’ hair and whoever taught him how to line his eyes in sooty black kohl had mad skills. While we know Glambert is stylish and is a rarity, being openly gay while signed to a major label, he is not with a massive gay fanbase. That’s what Instinct sought to discuss with the singer. Why hasn’t the LGBT community embraced Lambert and his music more fully? Can he forgive them their ‘Trespassing,’ pun intended? Well, the ‘Better Than I Know Myself’ crooner has a theory about his lack of sizable gay following. more..

Off topic from tonight's discussions, but I was just listening again to the Kickin In snippet. In the repeated lines, something like "You can feel it kickin in" does anyone else hear, "The tequila's kickin in"? LOL, I think the shot glass lyrics in the lines just before are messing with my hearing. Yes :)I can hear Tequila too!

Sorry but it take 10 million AI to make any real impression on sales and the impact date is kind of meaningless because radio doesn't have to wait for the impact date. The song has been released to radio and if they want to play it they can. Even if the impact date was next week there is no guarantee that he would have significant radio presence on CHR by the Idol performance. Obviously RCA is working a different playbook than what the fans expect. They are the ones with all the market data. Most of the time record companies get accused of only looking at the short term and milky ever penny they can get up front. But RCA's strategies with Adam all through the last era and this one so far indicate that they are more focused on the long term than the short term. This should be a good thing not bad. If they are confident enough in Adam to take a long term view we should be happy about that. I for one have been absolutely thrilled that RCA has been marketing the "artist" Adam Lambert and not the "product". They are not marketing him like a disposable pop act they are marketing him like an artist who is going to be around for a long time. The are building his audience. This is what people have been complaining that the record companies DON'T DO. People have been bitching for years that the labels don't invest in the long term career but everything RCA has said and done has indicated that they are invested in Adam's long term success so I just don't get why anybody is pissed at RCA. I agree with you.. RCA is also marketing Adam as a long term International star.
