I think Adam means more gay fans supporting him and hopefully his music, like they do for his female counterparts. Accepting him as one of their own and accepting him for who he is. It sure hasn't been easy as a gay man, to reach the heights that he has reached and more encouragement from some in the gay community would be awesome. He has to battle a lot of bigotry from the straight community,why does he have to take bigotry from other gay men?? I'm so glad Adam told them off, the gay community needs to support each other,not condemn each other. Life is hard enough& there is power in unity. There is a civil rights movement going on, so whether someone likes or dislikes Adam's singing,has nothing to do with supporting him as a human being.Sticking together will get them more rights. It certainly beats tearing each other down with, yes Catty remarks.Again it's that self hate thing showing it's ugly head. If one puts Adam down and acts like a bigoted straight person will that make them more acceptable to the straight community? I think not. To add: why is it that a straight person singing about gay rights is more valuable and more appreciated with many gay men, than a gay person ,who actually knows how it feels to be gay in this here America?Doesn't make sense to me and apparently it doesn't make sense to Adam either. I don't understand it all either. But I think a lot of the behavior stems from self hate, which may come from the fact, that once their families found out they were gay, they lost their families. Probably many of them have been bullied, and the only way to defend is to be on the offensive, no matter who the object is. Ya know the best defense is an offense. I often think jealousy is a big factor. My son says almost all of his gay friends have been abandoned/or kicked out by their families as soon as they came out, and many had to leave home by the age of 16 or 17. So very sad, but I think this is a very valid point. Adam had and has a very loving and supporting family and a large network of friends that love him, and then there are all the Glamberts world wide, so jealousy also is there. |

OK..I just ordered the Instinct Magazine because after they tweeted that it might be sold out soon I was worried that even though my B&N was suppose to get it in on May 1st they wouldn't get any because 'we fans' had ordered all they printed!!LOL ;D Did you pay $5.95 including shipping and tax? I'm still alarmed that they didn't charge me shipping and tax.... Has that been everyone's experience? Does the magazine sell for $2 or something? |

On the Official Finnish Download Chart NCOE is a new addition on 12th place www.voice.fi/ohjelmat/latauslista On radio play mon/tue this week in Finland. It seems that NCOE has not yet been adopted the way we would want to > WE NEED TO REQUEST! YleX played BTIKM and Nova played BTIKM, WWFM, FYE. Yle Extrem played NCOE and Aftermath. Voice played NCOE and WWFM, they also have their website updated with the real track snippet and picture. NRJ playlist is a mystery, have not seen any AL song for a while. No Adam at all on Aalto. Both NRJ and Aalto were reported having played NCOE at least once. I seem to remember that also YleX has played it but it has not been added to their playlist or to the new songs in the most wanted poll. As for Nova, I remember that they added BTIKM very late but played older songs every day. Playing older songs is a good thing, too. I am confident that they will all give NCOe some spins, but requesting helps. IMO Nova and Aalto mostly need some push. |
