Question for anyone who might know.. I requested NCOE on Mix102.9's Top 5@five, but when I went back to also request BTIKM, both songs were gone from the list. They were both listed before I requested. What's happening? ??? Is there a way to request 2 at one time for future reference? ETA totally wacky, but I tried one more time, and now BTIKM is listed.. I swear it wasn't there the 3 other times I checked.. ??? I went and found (and requested) both. I think it's OK. I have tried a few times and the list is different... I have seen WWFM, BTIKM and NCOE, zero or one or two of them at a time. Once I could request two at a time, second time I could try that the page freezed.

On the Instinct quote going around, It's a little ironic that out of all the new music and interviews Adam has given with other interesting quotes about the LBGT community ect, this is the one that has some legs. It sort of proves Adam's point in a way, at least about gay media ( although the magazines have done some great interviews with him, I'm thinking more the blogs). It could be seen as a catty choice to choose this quote to run with above many alternatives. I don't know if I'm making sense. :-/ Yes. You're making perfect sense.

Downthread (or is it up?) some said they didn't know how Adam had gotten the reputation of a rocker on Idol. I started thinking about it. He sang 12 songs of his choice. I'd say 5 out of 12 were rock: Rolling Stones, Ring of Fire done in a rocker style and outfit, Slow Ride, Aerosmith, Zepplin, Born to Be Wild...That's a pretty big percentage. Even Black and White had some rock flavor. Then there was the finale where he played with Queen and Kiss. Put it all together with his fashion and self proclaimed glam and you get a rocker image. Of course for those that dug deeper than the AI show it is obvious that Adam has consistently talked pop. But it is surprising all genres aren't bemoaning loosing Adam as their own.

You know that pic of Adam walking on water? One of my all time favorites. So, I searched the net to find the highest resolution and ordered a poster made from Walmart. 20x30. Walmart warned me that the resolution was too low, but I told the computer I wanted it anyway. Well, it came today in the mail, and it is stunning. And only $20 for printing and shipping. Great price. If anyone is contemplating doing the same, I say "go for it." But, the cheap poster frame I was able to find does not do it justice. It really needs a quality mat and a solid frame. So, am I gonna fork over $100 or more to frame it like it should be framed? Hmmmm. Me thinks that resistance is futile. I'll probably capitulate and take it to a custom frame shop. Damn! This rabbit hole is deep. Love Adam walking on the water. Wish I had a dh that would let me build my Adam shrine Jealous of Bama, re: her whole house shall be a shrine cassie: lucky bitch! Get that frame

yeah i get it is a gay magazine and he had a question to answer, duh. but i think he is stirring the pot when he used the term catty. look how it is being picked up by other news sources. and we all know how things can be twisted. Adam has mentioned diversity in the past so he MUST know there should exist no standard to what the "community" accepts or resists. How specifically does he consider himself being resisted? he has been on the cover of OUT and advocate and on their list of influentials, interviewed in multiple publications and media outlets. I think he has had great support. ok there were some remarks/criticism along the way, but that is typical with any celeb. What are we looking for here? I think Adam means more gay fans supporting him and hopefully his music, like they do for his female counterparts. Accepting him as one of their own and accepting him for who he is. It sure hasn't been easy as a gay man, to reach the heights that he has reached and more encouragement from some in the gay community would be awesome. He has to battle a lot of bigotry from the straight community, why does he have to take bigotry from other gay men?? I'm so glad Adam told them off, the gay community needs to support each other, not condemn each other. Life is hard enough& there is power in unity. There is a civil rights movement going on, so whether someone likes or dislikes Adam's singing, has nothing to do with supporting him as a human being.Sticking together will get them more rights. It certainly beats tearing each other down with, yes Catty remarks.Again it's that self hate thing showing it's ugly head. If one puts Adam down and acts like a bigoted straight person will that make them more acceptable to the straight community? I think not. To add: why is it that a straight person singing about gay rights is more valuable and more appreciated with many gay men, than a gay person ,who actually knows how it feels to be gay in this here America?Doesn't make sense to me and apparently it doesn't make sense to Adam either. I don't understand it all either. But I think a lot of the behavior stems from self hate, which may come from the fact, that once their families found out they were gay, they lost their families. Probably many of them have been bullied, and the only way to defend is to be on the offensive, no matter who the object is. Ya know the best defense is an offense. I often think jealousy is a big factor. Look at Perez. He is mocked for his weight and looks and he is probably one of the most schizophrenic humans out there. He is totally insecure, and probably has yet to have a significant other. His mom accepts him, but it's his looks that find him on the receiving end of very off color remarks. I find him to be the biggest bully out there. Adam had a supportive family, but he felt so inferior in the looks department and still does. Many of these same issues we have experienced ourselves, which have lead to insecurities. It is no different. But we don't go on sites spewing venom and hate. I wonder if many gays feel so isolated that their only recourse is to be on the offense, catty as Adam would put it. He has spoken many times about his lack of success in the "love" department here in the US, but has found love with his Fin. that speaks volumes. Nationalglampoon, I'm talking US here.
