Cassie, go to PictureFrames.com. Great selection of custom frames and mats and though not cheap, much cheaper than a framing store. I have used them many times for Adam stuff! Thanks for the reference. And for the encouragement. Can I tell myself that the $114 (including shipping) frame is to make up for the fact that I cannot go to any of the upcoming Adam concerts? When has this group ever advocated NOT spending money on Adam? Of course! It will look great, and just think of all you saved by not going to a framing store. You would be irresponsible NOT to get it!

I thought this subject would run out of steam this a.m. But I am genuinely shocked (and I shouldn't be - I'm an idiot to forget what world I'm living in) to find such a number of people making judgements about the gay community - certainly more diverse in its mainstream than the self loathing, jealous, petty stereotypes that are carelessly being bandied about. Based largely on comments at entertainment websites? Cause the similar non-gay specific ones have comments that are so enlightened? I need a bit of a break then maybe I can pontificate about women and the passive aggressive, back biting and apparently not too active re the war on their rights that's going on right now. And 51 percent of the population shld be in better position to effect change than 15 percent. Huh must be the self loathing or preference for 'alpha male' power structure, hmmm? (sorry but some of these posts broke my chill and well meaning only goes so far.) Whoa! Or Woah! I hadn't thought of it like that. I was just chuckling at a bunch of women of a certain age trying to figure out how gay men react to Adam and why. Yeah, like we have any insight into that. Sorry that the speculation upset you. But you are right. While trying to be accepting and open-minded about something we know little about, and trying to understand, we often bring our unconscious stereotypes and scripts along with us. Thanks for pointing that out.

Since we're still on the subject of Adam's lack of gay support I thought I'd share this: Last week I went to a Johnny Mathis concert with friends. (Judge away. His voice is great - as good as it was 50 years ago but I got bored with the sleepy music LOL) After the concert one of my friends noted that he wasn't wearing a wedding ring. I said "He's gay". And she said "REALLY? Do you think he has sex with MEN?" I didn't know that Johnny Mathis was still performing! I use to love his voice and bought his LP albums growing up. My sister and I were speaking about him several years ago and she didn't know he was gay either. : I remember a long time ago there was some show that visited celebs in their homes (I know....this really ages me lol) and they visited him and wow he had an absolutely beautiful home. Sorry...off topic but Jazzrocks you brought back some old memories for me. ;D

mika made a very valid point....and I'm sorry he's a bit upset with us at the moment. (note: being the chicken ass that I am, I never offered my opinion...haha!) but...as to the second part of your post, mika...isn't it nice that many of "my" 51% are interested and eager to support "your" 15%? Even if we might not do it with finesse? Don't write us off quite yet.
