The following consists of my most likely unpopular opinions. Regarding the "gay community" resistance to a "gay popstar". First of all it is even sort of weird to me that adam comments on this since he likes to think of himself as "post gay". Secondly, I don't love/support all women pop stars because they are women. I have a gay acquaintance who does not liked Adam's music because he considers him screechy/screamy. I am more inclined to believe that Adam has just not created the right song. Hopefully Trespassing has one that will get the response. Try to go to gay websites when they have article about Adam.. or try to go AfterElton.com when they haver article about Adam and read the comments section. You will see a lot of gay men opinions of Adam. Ohh if they think Adam's screechy /screamy.. you probably need to play them Gokey's Scream On or one of Durbin's YT... so they will see the different between wailing high notes and screecy/screamy... LOL BTW this screechy/screamy is so 2009, I have never heard or read people referring Adam's high notes as screecy/screamy anymore. Unless these people are still stuck in 2009.

Hey, teachable moment here! You have a valid point. When people who want to be supportive are messing that up, no matter how well intentioned, then we need to be told. to you, and I'm sorry that we biffed up. I think sometimes we (well, I, for certain) tend to let my Mama Bear protectiveness of Adam get in the way of thinking things through as much as I should. Personally, I saw Mika's analogy as one of someone from the outside criticizing, analyzing and stereotyping a community that they don't belong to. That's the defining point for me. If you belong to a community, you know it from the inside out, in all it's breadth, width, and variety. You can speak to your personal experience as a member if you want to, as Adam did in the article, although you can't necessarily speak for others. But we do not know that, do we? If Mika belongs to the community or not? Should people not express their opinions re men ( regardless of their sexuality) if they are women, and vice versa? I'm not saying I agree with everyone's opinion posted today, but it sounds discriminatory to me to say that if you're a fisherman, you're not allowed an opinion about huntsmen.

Interesting question. I think the US is somewhat unique in this way. EU, UK even here in Oz there it is really a shrug and so what. What I see less about the music and more about the "will and grace" theory. In order to get more people to embrace idea of equal rights and marriage for gays, gay America has worked hard over past while to be just like "us" and if gay sexuality was alluded to at all it was in comedic situations (like on successful TV show Will and Grace). Adam doesn't play that game. He is who he is - he's the guy who'll kiss his base player tongue and all on national TV (as opposed to chaste nice kisses or romantic kisses). He plonks his sexuality on the table (metaphorically speaking). And that is I think what the male gay community worries about. And yes although I'm using the collective here I do realise that the gay community doesn't do anything as "one" They have worked hard to shed the "party and screw anything that moves" label that was attached to them for so long, and along comes Adam and will supporting him undermine that... easy to support the "strong women" they are no threat to status quo you're trying to build up. But then I'm not gay so what the hell do I know. Adam is firmly in the "gay second" category. By that I mean he tries not to let his life revolve around it, and I'm the same. It's the mindset of "it's just a sexuality". There's a lot of gay guys who are "gay first" though, spend their life shouting loud and proud that they're gay from the rooftops, campaigning for rights, hitting back at homophobes and very conservative people for example. That's fine but people like me and Adam don't get too deep into it. Sure he made the It Gets Better video and Outlaws of Love but for the main part he just puts it on the side and leaves it to other people, because he's happy in his own sexuality, believes that in the grand scheme of things sexuality doesn't even matter that much, and prefers to just stick to the music. Sadly lots of the "gay first" people don't like that kind of attitude, they see it as a "betrayal" of sorts. Quite sad really :( Yes, this is what I love about Adam, and is partially what helped me stay a fan, because I'm a lot like that as well.. It seems that a lot of minorities are like that though. They seem to make everything about their race/gender/orientation, and anything that they perceive someone saying something negative about it, they immediately play the race/gender/orientation card. I'd say you can be proud of who and what you are, without making everything you say, do, and be surround that. It felt good to see that Adam acknowledges that homophopia exists, but don't marginalize everything to that.

Cassie, go to PictureFrames.com. Great selection of custom frames and mats and though not cheap, much cheaper than a framing store. I have used them many times for Adam stuff! I've been looking for this pic this morning and just can't find it. Anyone?? This is the best one I've got: 1257 x 1705 twitpic.com/9ab5pv/fullPlease post, if anyone has a better one.

A Finnish teen magazine has that pic as a poster in their this month's issue. I think I just might have to buy that magazine... ooh, I want that poster! Can you find me a link to buy it? Please PM me, I can get that to you. I just don't know if I have time to read through the threads now, so PM is the best option. In the magazine there is no article of Adam, just the poster and don't remember what size it is but can tell more after I buy the magazine. So I can send either the whole magazine or just the poster part.

Comment coming in late, because I'm just reading the thread. Just want to say that I love Adam, and I love his voice and musical instincts, and I love just about all genres, so whatever Adam does with his music, is fine with me. The only requirement for me is for it to sound good. ;D

I recall RCAEd lamenting how long it was taking to get clearances from all and sundry.
