One of the contestants also sang The SHow Must Go On. Prior contestants also sang that exact song.. much better. I am afraid to watch. And I am not speaking just as an Adam stan. I think it is pretty widely believed, by all Idol watchers, that you don't mess with an Adam song. There are a few songs across all the seasons that everyone agrees should be retired, including all of Adam's. Only those who are too stupid to do their homework make this mistake. nah its fair game he sang it on the EMA. Most Americans believe that the earth falls off to oblivion at the coasts. Lol They never would have seen the performance. That said... Not done well.

Interesting question. I think the US is somewhat unique in this way. EU, UK even here in Oz there it is really a shrug and so what. What I see less about the music and more about the "will and grace" theory. In order to get more people to embrace idea of equal rights and marriage for gays, gay America has worked hard over past while to be just like "us" and if gay sexuality was alluded to at all it was in comedic situations (like on successful TV show Will and Grace). Adam doesn't play that game. He is who he is - he's the guy who'll kiss his base player tongue and all on national TV (as opposed to chaste nice kisses or romantic kisses). He plonks his sexuality on the table (metaphorically speaking). And that is I think what the male gay community worries about. And yes although I'm using the collective here I do realise that the gay community doesn't do anything as "one" They have worked hard to shed the "party and screw anything that moves" label that was attached to them for so long, and along comes Adam and will supporting him undermine that... easy to support the "strong women" they are no threat to status quo you're trying to build up. But then I'm not gay so what the hell do I know. Adam is firmly in the "gay second" category. By that I mean he tries not to let his life revolve around it, and I'm the same. It's the mindset of "it's just a sexuality". There's a lot of gay guys who are "gay first" though, spend their life shouting loud and proud that they're gay from the rooftops, campaigning for rights, hitting back at homophobes and very conservative people for example. That's fine but people like me and Adam don't get too deep into it. Sure he made the It Gets Better video and Outlaws of Love but for the main part he just puts it on the side and leaves it to other people, because he's happy in his own sexuality, believes that in the grand scheme of things sexuality doesn't even matter that much, and prefers to just stick to the music. Sadly lots of the "gay first" people don't like that kind of attitude, they see it as a "betrayal" of sorts. Quite sad really :( I hear you. And i agree that for Adam its about being Adam, not about being gay. In fact, its the people who depend on their sexual preference identity who i think are more shallow, than people who see it as an aspect of their being and a welcome one and one of many aspects.

So where is the YT of the Entertainment Tonight clip???????? It's been at least an hour since it aired. Entitled fan here, impatiently tapping foot. It was a very short clip... The intro was about AI top 6 will be singing Queen songs tonight and then video clip of Adam (singing WWRY) struting towards the circle and then his face close up (hair ;D and all and you can hear Adam singing WWRY) and then switched to and Roger and Brian .... a host voice saying "Here's a former American Idol Adam Lambert, Queen's NEW SINGER"... fade to commercial :D Yeah ET didn't clarify that Adam was fronting Queen for 4 gigs only and that he has own album coming out. What they did say makes it sound like he's fronting Queen now. : Did ET ever show Adam's BTIKM video? I haven't watched in a while, but I know they have aired music video debuts before for other artists.

Thanks. I can wait. I will probably jut sample them all rather than listen, unless someone kills it (in a good way). But, I would like to see the group performance with Queen. I hope Adam meets with Brian and Roger while they are in LA. I'm not a fan that thinks "only Adam can sing Queen". .. but yeah, the performances were not good. The group song with Brian and Roger was godawful! I felt sorry for Brian and Roger.. :(

I'm waiting to read the media reviews. I'm way too biased to judge fairly. ;D (Cringed throughout most of the Queen bits).

It was different enough, and well sung. The woman who sang WLL earlier in the season, although singing it well and uniquely, still set herself up to be compared to one of the shows best-ever performances. And if you look at the comments in her youtube performances, you will see all the people (and I don't think stans) who keep saying it wasn't as good as Adam's.
