It denigrates no one's talent to point out that having a driven leader who appreciates talent, empowers his talent to suggest ideas, and is intuitive about people will get great results. Adam is growing into that man and good for him, and good for us. My 2 cents. And it doesn't take anything away from Adam to say that members of his band or the background singers came in being professionals and knowing what they were doing. I believe things are being wildly twisted. No one said the leader or director wasn't important. No one said that the band isn't replaceable. Everyone knows that, THEY even know that! Go back and read the original question and post. The question was asked "Why do the background singers sound so good with Adam". Then read the answer I responded to. An answer was given that had everything to do with Adam and nothing to do with the talent and years of experience that these two professionals brought into the equation. Not one word was said about the fact that these two vocalists came in with years of training and experience. Not one word was said about how they worked with a well respected musical director for days before Adam walked into the practice room. A sentence or two about the fact that they were talented and experieced coming into this gig would have acknowledged this. That's ALL I'm saying here!Adam comes from a theatre background. He would understand this 100%! The star of the show never deserves all the credit. As a theatre person, you understand that it takes a ton of talented people behind you to make the whole thing work. There are some things Adam is responsible for and some things he gets 100% credit for, but there are some aspects like the dancers or music arranging, that he needs a great deal of help with. There is nothing wrong with this! He is human, he doesn't do everything! Or what lifetraveler said here: Actually I completely understand where tigerlily is coming from. In organizational psychology this type of bias is called "the romance of leadership" - this idea that when a team does very well or very badly we as humans tend to over-estimate the impact of the team's leader on the team's performance (e.g. if a sports team is on a losing streak, the coach or the QB take most of the blame, even though there are very complex team dynamics going on that might have caused it). That is not to say the leader - in this case Adam - is very important, because he IS of course. But IMO Cassie over-stated the importance that Adam has on his band's performance. These are still very talented musicians; not even Adam wouldn't be able to create an amazing performance if these people were not really talented in their own right. That's why selection is so important. That being said, of course Adam is the glue that holds everything together and takes it to the next level. Exactly! THANK YOU!

Only pure pop song that I can name from Trespassing is Naked Love. No idea what genres the other songs represent. ;D
