awww.. so cute...the TV show is "news" to me... and I loved that he plugged the TP! BB IS SMAAARTTT!!!!! Can you please tell us ( the scorned ones) what he says? Should you ever find yourself in a position where you're dating Adam Lambert (suspend your disbelief and dream big) and you're at that point where things are going like, really well, and you want to have one of those early-relationship (somewhere between month 1 through 3) "I've actually really been paying attention to all of the adorable things you say like, and I wanna prove that I remembered those things so you know how seriously into you I am" stay-home dates, I've essentially created a shopping list of things Adam loves via the vehicle of Buzzworthy's "10 Things I'm Obsessed With" video.

So, if you're shopping for your thoughtfulness date with Adam, you're gonna be busy both downloading various forms of entertainment and running to the grocery store for... kale. He's just as obsessed with the cruciferous veggie as he is with disco naps (priceless!) and the seminal glam rock movie "Velvet Goldmine." You might wanna have several seasons of "Breaking Bad" in your Netflix queue, because Adam Lambert is obsessed with that show. And please be patient if, during your date, Adam Lambert keeps reaching for his iPhone (obsessed!) -- he's probably just checking Twitter, which he's -- yep -- obsessed with. And his Rick Owens boots? We're pretty obsessed too, so we can't blame him. Oh, and for date-y background music, consider investing in Adam's new album, Trespassing, when it drops on May 15, because he's pretty obsessed with that, too. (That makes all of us.)

Yeah, it's a big hell to the no for me. I don't think I'm a prude. And perhaps I'm a hypocrite because I enjoy a little (certainly the wrong word in relation to Adam) penis talk and photos from time to time. I also think the female body is beautiful. However, I find it degrading to verbally reduce women to a body part on a public stage, especially black women, who are historically sexualized--not to make it a race thing, because I'd be upset no matter who the women were. I'd feel the same way if he called his all-male dancers the Peen. It ain't cute. I think it's tacky and demeaning. I understand where the Vajayjay name may have originated from, given that the singers add another shot of estrogen to the group, and maybe it works in a private rehearsal room. Maybe the ladies even came up with the name, I don't know. But it's a bigger issue than just them and impacts more than just them when he's announcing it on a public stage in front of thousands. If Keisha or Octavia now, or ever, feel uncomfortable with that moniker I hope they know they can approach Adam about it or just ask him to call them by their names instead and not fear that he'd be bothered. I don't think he means to objectify them and I think he'd be the last person to ever take offensive at that request! But the crux of what you just said is that you don't know who came up with the nickname. You were offended, which is your right, but what about others who weren't offended by that but might be offended by something else? when does it end? where is the line drawn between Adam's right to express himself in a way he feels comfortable and our right as fans to expect him to adhere to our social standards? Adam is one person trying to please the many and as the saying goes, you can't please everyone so you can only try to please yourself. So agree with this. |

Like.... with flaws and shit.
He may be more in touch with his feminine side than most, but he is still just a man. We shouldn't expect him to understand how we might feel about this kind of thing any more than any other man would.
Mars and Venus and all that..... we're a confusing bunch.
IMO it is up to the girls the name has been attached to. If they are ok with it, so am I.

I love this place. Just scroll because just strange ramblings follow:  Life has been insane so only able to lurk or do quick drive by and scrolling. Love all the perspectives, sharing, and "family" discussion that goes on. From some of the conversations and comments I just want to say that once part of the Adamtopia family, always part of the family so even if you stop posting or end your membership - we will still think of you, talk about you, and wonder where you are so you might as well stay and see what we are all saying. Adam discussions in any language are still about Adam. Glad to see so many members going to the Queen/Adam shows. They will be EPIC!  and it is MAY! Waiting for album so I don't have to listen to snippets in streaming mode. Adam on Idol!!! Who cares about the results. OK - have to leave. |
